Carlsbad Paving
Hope they are better at paving than firewood. Missed appointments, missed calls, no follow up. An array of errors. We finally gave up and called somewhere else. Disappointing however since we bought their firewood last year and were pleased with the delivery and the quality of the wood. Oh well...

No one followed up with an estimate. I contacted the business 3 separate times with which I was advised an estimator come to my house or call me back. I never did get any follow-up, and when I did it was only because I reached out to them to inquire. The office was polite with responding however I would have appreciated them tell me that they are too busy and cannot accommodate (if this is the case) vs having a potential customer be left in the dark and go elsewhere (having no confidence in their customer service ability). I live in the area and this is not good for their reputation or our community!

Agreed on a date and window of time for firewood delivery. They said they would be in touch on the day. Never heard from them, no firewood showed up, no response to my email.Update: several days later they called and gave 2 hours notice for delivery. Driver was friendly and professional, wood seems decent, delivery went smoothly.

Carlsbad Paving
We have ordered firewood from Carlsbad Paving for the past two years and have been pleased with the wood. We did order three cord in late 2016 and while piling it, discovered we only had about 2 1/3 cords. I called them and explained this to them and offered to send pictures to show them. However, they did not ask to see the pictures and did deliver the remaining portion of the third cord - so overall I was pleased with the service.

Carlsbad Paving
After ignoring the BBB reviews on these guys I decided to give them a chance because they are a family business. They provided an estimate for the driveway... I called back to proceed... No response... Two weeks... I can't even give these people my money and they won't return my call to schedule. Called another place and got it all done within 48 hours. If they are this disorganized BEFORE the job I don't want to imagine how unorganized they will be for the job. Very poor customer service. I'm surprised a family business can afford to operate like this.

I am new to the neighbourhood having recently bought land near this business. While I haven't yet had the opportunity to retain this company as I have yet to begin building I have interacted with the owner (John) and his son. Through some my own misfortune I've also met (Shane) and his colleague (sorry I didn't get your name). All that to say the people who work for this company or incredible, kind and professional.Again, I've not yet had to chance to hire them (but will) and would not hesitate to do so having interacted with them and them lending me a huge help on this past Easter Monday. We need more Carlsbad Paving" in the world."

I'm so very impressed with Carlsbad paving!! I called a number of paving companies in the Ottawa for quotes and Carlsbad was the best by far. It's so nice to see people that come out that genuinely care about what they do. Their work so far has been amazing, they still have to come back to do the second part of the job but I couldn't ask for more from the crew that was here today!! Quality work, professional and my property was left clean! I saw some not so great reviews about firewood, I don't know what happened there but don't let this stop you from calling them for paving, they are amazing!!

We just had our driveway done by Carlsbad Paving. Their service and work was excellent. Their crew was extremely professional and fast. Aside from a new beautiful driveway, you'd never know they were even here. They cleaned up every single loose stone and left our property looking amazing! I would highly recommend Carlsbad Paving.

They treat you like family. The service is really beyond great. No questions about it, they are highly recommended by us. We love it when they call us for the orders, rather of us calling them. From the office down to the drivers, the services is a 6⭐. We purchase firewood every single year without fail. And we decline others.
