Southwest Trail Link

This is a really nice addition to the trails here in Saskatoon. So many new plants and trees that will be stunning once they've grown more

I am amazed and surprised about how the city got the planning and execution of this part of the trail absolutely perfect! It now features double wide bike lanes, one double wide lane going in each direction, with many places to pull off the main trail to rest and bird watch on benches. This used to be a run down road that connected Spadina to the road passing under the Gordie Howe Bridge and heading out of town but now it is inaccessible to vehicles and a dedicated biking and walking trail. It is making the south end of our Meewasin trail much more attractive and I hope it will serve as a model for other areas of the trail that the city might be upgrading.

Generally great community members, everyone's friendly on our section of the trail. Convenient place to walk, jog, run, bike, site see or workout along the river edge. Summertime is busy with marathons and races, people who don't always share the road... be aware and keep in mind, it's only temporary.
