I was reluctant to write this review for some time because don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Davids Tea and I was really sad I had such a bad experience at this location. But unfortunately, I feel like this is a review that has to be written. This was my go-to location for a while until my last visit several months ago and unfortunately, what happened is not forgivable.I stopped by just to buy some small packs of drink mixes and the first person who greeted me was friendly, but then this male employee came up to me and started degrading me and talking down to me in a harsh aggressive voice insisting I was stupid and didn't understand price differences because I chose to buy the small packs of drink mixes instead of the large box. What he assumed wasn't even true because I was already well aware of the cost/differences of the large box they offered, however it would have been way too much tea for me to buy it all for myself and he definitely could have recommended it without being so rude and talking like I didn't know how to do math. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience and when I went to check out, he just gave me a cold stare and went silent. This experience has caused be trauma and unfortunately I don't think there's anything that would convince me to come back here. Whoever the employee was that I encountered that day needs to be fired, he obviously had zero customer service skills. I am disappointed to have been treated so badly over something so trivial.I will definitely still visit other David's Tea's locations though, just not this one. I really hope no one else who comes here has this kind of experience.

I had an issue with the location in Laval and went to Fairview today. Kiara was extremely helpful and great to deal with. She resolved my issue fabulously. That was service!! Thank you!!

Absolutely pathetic and terrible customer service. I purchased 2 tea strainers with the sticker price at $6.50. I noticed that I was charged $9 per item once I was home. I went back the following day to get the difference in money as the item was tagged at $6.50. I was refused the money difference all together and was being told that the new price is $9 despite the item having a David's tea price tag indicating $6.50The employees would not budge and continued to refuse my price guarantee. He kept staying that because the new price is $9, he could not give me the money. Having worked in retail, I know the rules and regulations, if an item is advertised at a certain price, it must be respected (as per Canada's competition act, it prohibits that sale of a product at a price higher than it is advertised"). After 10 mins of him explaining that he could not refund me the difference

Great customer service every time. No matter if you're a tea snob or a newbie the staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I got great service from Roxanne tonight. She put me on a waiting list to call when the item I want comes back in stock.

Cuppa pear Tea of the Day was a lovely surprise and made up for the disappointing, yet understandable, inability to choose from a variety of hot teas. Happy to be introduced to a new tea, and to see the Tea for two advent calendar is back!

I went to Davids Tea today to buy a gift with my two kids. I was waiting outside at the line they made. There was an elderly man behind the line. I asked him if he was waiting to go in, he said no. Another male shopper over heard me ask the elderly man and then he cut in front of me and entered Davids Tea. I went closer to read if they had a limit posted for how many people who could enter at a time. I did not see anything and none of their employees were managing the line. As soon as I entered with my kids we were promptly told by a male employee (Sam, I believe) that there were too many people in the store and we need to wait in the line. I indicated no one was managing the line.We move back to the line outside the store. Sam then said that the next people could enter, so we went in. Then as soon as we did he apologized to the woman behind us who was there after us. My 6 year old son had lowered his mask to take a sip of his drink and she was making a comment that he was not wearing his mask.So we had a white male cut in front of us who did not wait to be ushered in, nothing was said to him, he was allowed to shop. We waited to have no service then entered and were shoed out then the woman behind us was apologize to for what?I usually don't say anything but, my son asked me in the car why the other guy was let in the store and they made us wait outside. I was going to say COVID restrictions, but this was not why this happened, nor why Sam apologized to the woman who had come after us or why the white man cut in front of us was left to shop when he did not wait in line.This is the second time this happened to us this week with my children present, where they let other people inside and the other time we had to wait outside. The other time the person working in the building was asking why this woman was making us wait outside.My kids 3 and 6 years old are taking notice, why are they treated differently. Black or mixed you will always be seen as the problem.Thanks for showing that to my kids Sam.

Staff was really helpful, but also super pushy.. Went there to try something new, ended up smelling about 20 different teas and then she tried selling me about 90$ of samples" plus some cup and spoon.. All that just to try something new. Really like the concept and everything

They are always quite friendly here and really walk you through your purchase. Because of covid they're almost too efficient and with an empty store I did not get to browse, so instead of buying the tumbler or a new pack of teas I just got some loose leaf. In the before times this would be a favorite stop, so I felt kind of rushed this time.
