Surfside Motel

The rooms were cozy and clean. Nighttime was quiet for sleeping.we had all the amenities that we required.Staff very helpful and made our stay perfect. I will definitely stay again. The price was a great value

The location is perfect, right beside the ocean, the surf lulls you to sleep. I'd recommend the owners add a small coffee pot or kettle to make instant coffee or tea, in the rooms without kitchenettes. The closest cafe was closed everyday I was there and nothing opens before 10am, so that was a bit frustrating. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed comfy, and really that's all you want after a long day of beachcombing.

I wish the room had ac but other than that it is quiet, convenient and next to the beach.

I LOVE this motel. It has come a long way over the years - a few yrs back they renovated everything. The rooms are tiny and quaint but have everything you need.... first - always very clean - a little fridge, comfy bed, microwave and private bathroom. The prices are great - it is right on the ocean with an amazing view and staff are great!

Central location and clean but no A/C and only had a small fan in the room was very warm and hard to sleep in August .We had to open windows in hopes of getting cooler air to circulate with a fan in front of the window.If staying there I would recommend booking a waterfront unit for cooler breeze.Only one wall outlet for charging and had to unplug the lamp or alarm to get access.There is a beach behind the motel but it's not sandy small rocks but a nice place for a walk.The bed would move away from the headboard when tossing around to get comfortable and made for a long sleepless night .I would not stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at Surfside and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and will look forward to our next stay in Grand Manan. I found very little info about this place before staying so I'll report our experiences. We had booked a one bedroom (two queen beds) vacation apartment. The kitchette was sweet - apartment size fridge and stove, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. Plenty of dishes and cutlery as well as cookware and kitchen utensils. There was also a BBQ. I can't think of anything that was missing. Our room was comfortable and clean but not fancy (lots of pillows and the beds were comfy). The pullout couch had been opened and the bed made in preparation for our family of five arrival. The beach was nice for strolling but I didn't see anyone swimming here. I wish we had stayed over a weekend to enjoy the farmer's market across the road. A great visit to the island and this place added to our trip.

Customer service at its finest! I forgot a book at this motel that I was half through reading and the staff was nice enough to take it to the post office for me to see how much it would cost. Unfortunately it was around $30 so I told them not to worry about it. The lady was so nice and said she’d keep it on their book shelf incase we ever returned to the island. A month later it showed up on my doorstep! Besides that though, we loved being on the beach and our rooms were clean. Will definitely recommend!

Our room was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed- a comfortable bed, a small fridge & microwave, a little deck with a gorgeous view of the ocean, and two Adirondack chairs to relax in! The beach was a very short walk, and was an amazing place to find sea glass and to watch the ferries and fishing boats. We had a large fan to keep us cool, along with the ocean breezes.But the best thing about Surf Side- their people! A huge shout out to Charlotte and Ellie, and the entire staff! They were soooo helpful, wanted to make sure that we were comfortable, had everything that we needed, and gave us so many helpful tips about enjoying our time on this wonderful island! We are already planning to return to Grand Manan and Surf Side!

We were got there it was $10 more then told on phone ...the room was smoked in but did give us another ...curtains on window were dirty and one was hung backwards but can see they are working on the place ...awesome view

The rooms are comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, quiet and very clean. The location is conveniently near to the ferry and many amenities. The beach on the property is gorgeous, private and right behind the motel.Angela and Ellie" were the two hosts that we met during our stay. I can't say enough about how friendly
