Aiyaohno Cafe
Super cute cafe, lovely owners, great service, amazing quality drinks, gorgeous pastries, fashion & accessories, plus a fun and memorable logo.Have tried Aiyaohno twice, once at their usual location, once at their booth for Japan Market.Salted sakura latte: LOVE IT! Strong coffee, subtle floral scent, just the right hint of salinity to let the flavours bloom, without being salty.Iced matcha latte: highly recommend! Beautiful, vibrant green, powerful matcha. Tastes super fresh. They use (and sell) really high quality teas and I want to try the hojicha next.Vegan brownie: UGH SO GOOD! I let mine warm up to room temp before eating, it was the perfect amount of chewy and so aromatic.I really like the Hope & Sesame Barista Blend milk that they offer as a dairy alternative, it’s a favourite. Great flavour, nutritious, and reduces waste. They were giving away posters (free with any purchase) to promote the documentary Big Fight In Little Chinatown (totally my thing) and very sweetly saved one for me after I sent them a DM on instagram to ask if there were any left.I’m not in the area often, but will try to visit every time. Their menu sounds so good, love that there are vegan/vegetarian/pescetarian options, and the lunches have good reviews here.

Funky Japanese cafe! Saw a friend having a take out from this place and decided to try myself. Their foods are authentic but with modern twist.Tried a sandwich and a bowl and both were very fresh, hearty, and delicious ! (You need to be a veggie lover to like this place. If you are a carnivore, maybe not.)Lots of interesting drink options, too. Cherry blossom latte was good just like had in Japan.

We had breakfast here for our last day in Vancouver before heading back in Seattle. The couple who run the shop was really hospitable and friendly to us. I’m glad to find a cafe that offers healthy fish bowls on the menu that’s not the typical salmon/lox bagel. I love the decor there too!

The absolute BEST place for vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian food! Everything is always so fresh and delicious, lots of raw vegetables. I have a friend who visits pretty much every week, and if I had more money I would likely do the same. Highly recommend the vegan chive dumplings, they’re packed with flavour and it was such a filling lunch.

Upon discovering Aiyaohno Cafe, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting atmosphere. Tucked away in a charming location near Vancouver's Chinatown, this delightful establishment offers a unique culinary experience that caters to a wide range of dietary preferences. With an eclectic menu, Aiyaohno Cafe is a testament to the passion and dedication that has gone into creating a welcoming space where food lovers can savor each delectable bite.Of all the dishes I had the pleasure of trying, the Uni Sandwich stood out as the pièce de résistance. Bursting with flavor, this unique and delicious creation features fresh, creamy sea urchin complemented by crisp vegetables and Japanese-style pickled veggies. The house-made, perfectly square brioche bread ties it all together. This dish alone is worth a visit to this charming eatery. The Sakura Latte, a gentle and uplifting concoction, was another standout. Its cool pink hue and delicate cherry blossom flavor make it an ideal choice for sipping as you catch up with friends or simply enjoy a moment of solitude. For those seeking a heartier option, the ramen bowl with vegan dumplings is sure to satisfy. The rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and succulent dumplings create a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that will leave you craving more.In summary, Aiyaohno Cafe is a real hidden gem, offering an array of scrumptious dishes that cater to diverse dietary preferences. The unforgettable Uni Sandwich and exquisite beverages make it a must-visit destination. To access this delightful cafe, dial 8888 on the directory (or lookup Cafe) at either 425 Carrall or 23 W Pender. You'll leave feeling satisfied and uplifted, eagerly anticipating your next visit.

Amazing! The most delicious gluten free banana bread I’ve ever had. I also got the rich mocha latte and it was so creamy.I’ll definitely be back to try more of their pastries that are baked by the owner!! They explained they ripened and roasted the bananas themselves, so yummy.Edit: stayed until lunch and I got the sesame konjac noodle bowl. So so delicious!!!

A very cute and friendly cafe with wonderful food and service. The tataki lunch set is packed with vegetables, decently cooked rice and well seasoned tuna tataki. Vegan BLT is refreshing (the toasts are a bit dry to my liking though). Salted sakura latte is very interesting; I can't exactly taste the sakura (which is understandable given its subtle fragrance), but the light salty, savory taste does give a unique edge to the coffee. Would definitely come back again!

They serve delicious food and great drinks. I love that they include lots of veggies in their tuna rice bowl. You can't go wrong with their sandwich either. Their Sakura latte and hojicha latte were amazing. Owners were very friendly too!
