I ordered two marriage freres teas from this shop before Christmas. I only received one of them - the package contained a receipt for two teas, but only one of the teas was in there. I emailed twice about this issue and have yet to receive a response. If you buy directly from France, shipping is much faster and you can expect to actually receive the items ordered.EDIT: I don't think I can reply to your comment below, so I will just edit my review. I did not ever receive the second tea and have no correspondence from Jan 2022 when I contacted your shop about this.

This place is jewel, if you love tea. I can find many of the teas that I wanted to taste! That day I get Fortnum&Mason Jubilee edition, Tea Forte’s World of Teas: cute sprouty tea bags and Harrods No.49. There is such kind service and provided many suggestions on what teas to choose. I’m so excited to enjoy tea time with these.

I was really interested in buying some Mariage Frères teas from this shop as they are difficult to find elsewhere. I physically went to their location on three separate times during working hours and there was nobody there. There was a phone number posted on the door instructing customers to call the number if there is no one in the shop. I have called countless times and have never received an answer. I don't know how this place stays in business.

Con artists.. pls don’t buy anything online .. you will waste your time and energy .Absolutely worst company I’ve ever used …

I am in Toronto but ordered online to help everyone stay safe. First, I really appreciated the website for ordering - easy to use and the descriptions were very helpful in deciding which tea was right for me. My tea arrived, beautifully wrapped and secure! Everything is exactly as ordered, fresh, and great quality. I am so happy to have found this store and I will be ordering again and visiting when it is safe to do so!

This place is full of gems!I was there for specific tea brand, but ended with up buying other stuffs.The staff is really friendly, always trying to help if needed.The reason why I gave 4stars is I wish they have more tea related stuffs not just tea biscuits. Also I know the staff is really friendly but it would be excellent if she's more knowledgable about the teas that they are selling. I hope the owner give some tea sample for her so that she can try and help out the customers who really need recommendation for gifts. Not just which one is the best selling tea.Overall, I won't go back, I would rather order through online otherwise I prob empty the whole store haha.Nice tea shop for sure guys. Check it out!

I was on the lookout for Mariage Frere tea as a symbolic gift and was so happy to connect with Joan and come to her sweet establishment! Gourmet Tea Boutique has a wide selection of teas from around the globe, and after searching far and wide I was able to find exactly what I was looking for (may be the only storefront in Toronto selling this tea) and more. I’ll definitely be back for more exotic teas and would highly recommend for any tea lovers or enthusiasts out there!

Outstanding customer service and customer experience. The selection of luxury brand teas are second to none and not available anywhere else. Easy online ordering and fast delivery. I highly recommend trying some teas for yourself. You definitely deserve it and won’t be disappointed.

Parking, you can park at the rear or can use pay parking at 20 De Boers Dr ($2.50 for 30 mins).You can find premium tea from the store. I got kusmi and Marco polo.You also can find tea biscuits from the UK.If you are looking for special tea, please contact them, they will help you.

I would give 3.5 stars if possible, but since I have to choose between a 3 and a 4, I chose 4 stars.The quality of products are fantastic. There is a very wide selection of luxury teas. I love Mariage Freres as well as Harrods teas, and was pleasantly surprised to find them at this shop. The shop location is also at a fairly convenient place. It’s a minutes walk from Sheppard West subway station.The employee at the store — although maybe not as knowledgeable as I would like — was friendly and polite.The downside:When I placed my order online, I originally requested shipping, but when I saw reviews about shipping taking too long, I decided to go pick up my order instead. I ordered on a Friday morning, called that same afternoon, and was told they have the teas in stock and that I can pick it up any time. I said I would go on Monday.When I arrived at the store on Monday morning, I was told the teas were not in stock. I was admittedly a little upset, but the employee said she would double check, and I was relieved to hear that she did have them. If I hadn’t verified my order and asked her to check again, I would have likely just gone all the way back home.The website also displays the products in US dollars. I didn’t have time to do more than quickly pick up my items at the store, but the next time I go I would like to verify the prices. Due to dollar conversion rate, I would assume it’s more expensive to purchase online than directly in store. I don’t think this is fair or right, and I am confused as to why they decided to do this.Their hours are also inconvenient for a working person. Thankfully I work from home so I had the time during a weekday to drop by, but I can’t imagine most people would be able to make the trip, unless they are unemployed or work from home.
