Retina Surgical Associates - Surrey Office

Had an appointment to see Dr. Dhanda whom I had seen before. Had to take time off of work for the appointment. As I was heading over there for my 7 AM Monday appointment got a call from the office telling me the appointment is cancelled. No reason, no apology, was just told they would be in touch for my next appointment. This shows what this place is like, be aware this is how much they care.

Went in for an ROP exam for my child. They refused to explain the procedure while in hospital the two times it was done. When being booked for another outpatient ROP exam this is where we were sent. Finally after asking the receptionist 5 times and saying I'm. Not bringing my child in until the procedure is explained and I'm informed as to why it needs to happen... my child if born 5 days later would NOT need this exam and because she also doesn't meet the requrements for this test (no cpap at brith) . Now that our appointment day has come.they did not tell us the retnas need to be dilated 3x and this also puts my child at risk as using an eye anistetic the child needs to be monitored for down stats" for 48hrs... wich we as normal people don't have a heart rate monitor an oxygenation monitor and breathing monitor to be hooked up to our child. So now we just watch and wait and hope to god our child doesn't have a down Stat in the next 48 hrs. We will be monitoring our child like hawks."

I brought my grandma in for an appointment as she was referred by another optometrist. I am beyond disgusted by staff especially Marie. She called my grandma in and did a basic eye exam and treated my grandma with absolutely zero dignity and respect. She was rude and very inappropriate. Working with any population in health care empathy and patience should be at the forefront. She was inpatient and was being aggressive with my grandmas eyes after I repeatedly stated her eyes are sensitive. No compassion towards patients and would not recommend this place. I am at a loss of words due to this experience and my heart breaks for the other elderly individuals who do not have advocates by their side.

Wife had an appointment at 9:50 but we waited for almost 2 hours before the doctor saw her. I can understand that there are other patients they need to see but it's frustrating to wait that long specially if you're already booked at a specified time.

The receptionists here especially the woman over the phone are genuinely some of the worst people I have ever dealt with. Just trying to call in to get to someone took me 2 days to cancel an appointment. This company needs to reevaluate and retrain their employees to have a sense of compassion and understanding since they clearly lack it. The woman over the phone was extremely rude, and cut the phone before I was even done talking. Can't imagine what they would've done to my grandparents if I had kept the appointment and had them go in.

Dr. Wittenberg performed a flawless, quick healing vitrectomy on my left eye a couple of months ago so I've been into their office pre and post several times over the last 6 months or so. The staff has been uniformly courteous and efficient and, more importantly, most of the visits were under an hour. My last appointment was for 10:15 AM and I was on my way home at 10:12 AM. Wow!!

The receptionist (young Indian girl with glasses) made me wait for her to finish texting with her phone before talking to me. She knew I was standing there in front of her just waiting. But according to her, texting on her phone is more important than doing her job.

I’m sorry for those who have had bad experiences. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and Dr Dhanda. Efficient, friendly and kind. Super happy with the treatment I was given.

This place is horrible. Their doctors may be great but the appointments" are garbage. If you are scheduled

Walking by this office and looking in at an amazing waiting room. Stopped to talk to the receptionist and we agreed the waiting room was like a small hotel lobby. I didn't require any of their services but the warm welcoming atmosphere in this office was very appealing. Thanks for the friendly conversation ....
