Old Mill Toronto Event Venue

We had a wonderful wedding in the Guild Hall, the service staff were amazing and the venue is beautiful. No need to decorate which made planning easy the day of coordinator was also so helpful and attentive . Having the chapel onsite made things easy for guest.

We held my sister’s wedding for 80 people at the Old Mill in early Summer 2022 in the Guild Hall Room and Patio. We can honestly say the venue and staff at the Old Mill exceeded every one of our expectations in every way imaginable.We scouted multiple venues in Toronto and conducted multiple tastings before deciding to hold the wedding at the Old Mill. It was the best decisions we made. The professional and courteous service provided by Rita and Demetri were second to none.The Venue:The Old Mill was conveniently located in Toronto and offered numerous stunning settings for pictures and video shoots. The event room and the in-house chapel were elegantly designed and tastefully decorated. Staff took great care to pay attention to every detail in the room and on the dining tables. No detail was overlooked. Our vendors had no issue with completing their deliveries and accessing rooms/equipment/tools/etc. on time. The ambiance was warm and intimate and allowed for our guests enjoy their time with the wedding party and each other.StaffFrom our very first interaction with Rita and the admin team who went above and beyond in helping us create the perfect event and itinerary, to the wonderful plates prepared by the chef and the kitchen team, to dining room team led by Demetri, we felt confident the wedding day would go perfectly as planned and our guests would feel welcomed and enjoy a memorable day. Rita made sure we had a peace of mind every step of the way and provide all required documents in a professional and timely manner. She took extreme care to make sure our incremental changes to the itinerary were accommodated and the special needs of the bride and groom were addressed at every turn.The Chapel ceremony was conducted with the outmost class and Demetri took great care to support our guests throughout the ceremony and ensure everyone stayed on schedule.FoodWe held our private tasting well in advance of the wedding day and had Demetri and head chef walk us through the dining options and ingredients. Both took the time to answer all of our questions at the tasting and follow-up questions leading up to wedding. The food was simply phenomenal, a sentiment echoed by our guests, and the plating with beautiful. Highly recommend the beef as it was perfectly prepared and complimented the house red very well.Could not recommend the event hall, food and staff enough.A big thank you to everyone at the Old Mill for a memorable wedding for our family and all of our guestsMax

What appears to be a nice looking venue from the outside is merely a wedding factory that does the bare minimum. When we arrived yesterday, the woman working the hotel reception was snippy and curt replying to simple questions; ‘what room is our friend in?’ When we got up the room, others asked us ‘did you find the woman at reception rude?’. Not a good start. By the time it came to eat dinner, the food was simply terrible. The only good part were the nice polish ladies who were serving everyone. Not a distinguished venue at all.

A beautiful, intimate wedding venue that is filled with warmth.

I feel lucky to have been a photographer for a handful of weddings here, including in September of last year.Right off the top - this venue is stunning! Family, wedding party and couples' photos get the choice of nature or historic wood and stone architecture as the backdrop. The historic theme is also seen inside through the many halls to host your wedding or event, including one with a massive patio that backs onto the courtyard (my favourite spot)!Not only that, but the food their catering department serve is 2nd to none. Big portions and cooked just right. What else is there to say about food?Last but not least, the staff at Old Mill have always been so easy to work with and my clients continue to say the same. If you're considering this venue as your spot for your wedding or event - take this as the last push you need to move forward. You won't regret it!

We just had our wedding ceremony at Old Mill and are very disappointed with the director of operations, Nader.We stayed after the ceremony to take pictures at Old Mill and our family and friends decided to order us ( the bridal party) a pizza before the reception. We were not allowed outside food as per the contract and had to pay a fee which is fine, we didn’t know it was ordered and payed the fee.The issue was the fact that Nader decided to storm over to our bridal party and the mother of the bride and start yelling at them about the clean up fee and how this is not allowed. He was incredibly hostile to everyone in the bridal party even though they had no idea about our contract and didn’t order the food. This situation should have been handled in a completely different manner and should have been raised with myself and my husband ( the ones who signed the contract).When I called Nader to discuss this situation he then began to raise his voice at me and when I proceeded to ask him not to do that he started calling me sensitive. In my opinion that’s not only unprofessional but unnecessary.The venue is great and beautiful, the staff that helped us leading up to our event, specifically Ann, were lovely. But Nader absolutely ruined this experience for us the day of our wedding and made everyone within the bridal party upset.

We booked the Humber room and hosted an afternoon tea for our daughter’s first birthday. Anne was extremely helpful and kind throughout the process and really was able to make sure staff were aware of our special requests for each guest. The room captain and wait staff were incredible and accommodating. All of our guests had a spectacular time, and we were relaxed and able to enjoy ourselves as well. The high tea was fantastic- scones, sandwiches and desserts were fresh and delicious. I only wish we could have included the sloane tea for our event (which was not presented as an option). Overall it was wonderful and I would highly recommend hosting an event at the old mill.

Attended a wedding at Old Mill. Outside of the venue is gorgeous for photos. The venue itself is fairly elegant. The main draw back is that the indoor chapel is a little bit dark. The room we were in for reception was comfortable and appropriately sized for the number of guests. Food and service were good.

I was invited to a tea party/ bridal shower in that area. We had a smaller room that accommodates around 20 people. The food was good and the atmosphere quiet nice. I felt like being in the mid of the 19th century. Detailed wood work and ornamented ceilings. I had difficulty finding the place but got assistance form one of their staff who guided through the maze to the designated area of my group. The place and atmosphere made the event more pleasant. Very good experience being there.

We booked our Investor Holiday Party at Old Mill Toronto, and our investors are still telling our team what a wonderful experience they had. We booked the Brule Room A, B, and C. We had a ton of space for all the stations and mixing and mingling. The food and service were top-notch. From start to finish, each team member was professional, organized, and quick to respond. A special shoutout goes to Shannon, Rebecca, and Dimitri. Thank you for all that you do! We can't wait to book our next event at Old Mill.
