excellent takoyaki and tempura octopus (Canada day special), fast and friendly service. I had a reservation and showed up at opening, and there were already ppl waiting outside, so it seems like a popular place

Went here with some friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was top notch in terms of quality but it was a bit on the pricier side. The service was friendly but we did have to reorder some dishes again because the service forgot our order. Stay away from the 7 samurai drinks, although it looked pretty, it was very low on alcohol. The ambiance was quite good however and we had a great time. I would come here again for the food.

I went yesterday. The food options are great and very tasty as well. I ordered Karage, Gyoza, Calamari and some beef slices. And all of them tasted delicious. The service was a little disappointing, a bunch of the dishes we ordered never came and kept asking us for dishes we didn't order. The ambience was good except the music was too loud for dinner, impossible to have a conversation.

My go-to Izakaya for a celebratory meal. The restaurant has the charm of a Japanese restaurant and the food that does not disappoint every time I visit. I was disappointed seeing their truncated offerings right after they reopened post lockdown, but their full menu is back now , much to my delight. I generally order 85% of the same menu with rest being something different, never been let down.. hence you can’t go wrong with ordering here. Seafood is fresh, especially the salmon belly which melt in your mouth like butter. My favorite and the must have is the baked oysters (20 mins to make) which is so well constructed, you will be snacking your lips in no time.

This kinka izakaya was a lot different than the other restaurants I’ve been too. We ordered a bit of food and drinks. Service was a bit slow and had a few missing orders we had to confirm. The bento was definitely not was i was expecting. The salmon was very dry. The karaage was pretty good. The torched rolls should be torched more there was no torch colour. Drinks were tasty. The Korean beef ribs dish had more onions than the ribs itself. And the udon was good. Every dish felt rushed so some dishes weren’t cooked how it was suppose too, or over cooked.

A nice and lively izakaya in north york on Yonge stThe food was awesome from here. Some dishes that are pretty unique and some classic Japanese dishes as well.Drinks were great too and love the neko punch where it’s served inside a soft pink ceramic lucky catThe oden which is a Japanese hotpot with some ingredients that are swimming in a dashi broth soup. The soup was light and refreshing and the konjac texture was very different. All the different textures inside this one soup were just so well executedThe other highlight for me was the okonomiyaki. Just delicious! When it’s peoples birthdays or the table getting ready to down a sake bomb, the staff get really into their roles making a lot of noise and makes for such a fun experienceService was on point. The waiter was super friendly and leveled up my experience hereGreat job overall!Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids Ana’s more amazing content

Food was very fresh and tasty. Just wish they had more variety of seafood sushi rolls. But I’ll be back. Prices are good for quality
