Scotia Wealth Management - Winnipeg

Investors beware, SWM which operates under Scotia Bank umbrella posted revenues of well over a billion dollars. My wife and I have been a part of this group for some years.My return on investment for five years has been a minus. I was using this portfolio to subsidize my retirement.My portfolio shrunk quite drastically and not without constantly challenging Darcy about ROI . Some of his replies were patience,the market’s are well positioned for a turn around. Sad to say it didn’t happen to my account. I became curious and canvased some of my friends and relatives as to what their ROI was for the last 5 years. I was upset,mad and fit to be tied when they responded 7-8%. I made arrangements to speak with other wealth management groups and finally left Scotia Wealth. This is the first year of the last five that 2021 has an ROI of seven percent with a new group. Am I alone with no ROI for 5 years lm not sure. I was reluctant to submit this review but i felt i had to. There are other groups out there to better suit your needs. Remember corporate revenue of billions of dollars but a big shortfall in looking after their customers ROI. Don’t be complacent like i was Ed
