I have some dietary restrictions and am very thankful to have found this place. This place saved me from having to hop to two to three big chain stores for my weekly shopping. Their prices are also pretty on par with other places. The staff are very nice.

I’ve recently discovered this store and am so thankful it exists! There aren’t any similar options in the immediate neighbourhood. It seems like a small store but they have a big selection of organic foods and drinks and a lot of bulk items including nut butters, coffee, olive oil, maple syrup, honey, etc. which are harder to come by in other bulk stores I have shopped at. I appreciate the commitment to waste reduction, primarily via the assortment of bulk items on offer. They have a weigh scale upfront for customers to weigh their own containers before filling them which is very convenient. Staff have been super friendly and helpful whenever I have visited. I highly recommend this store!

So happy to find this place! I've been trying to minimize my waste for the past couple of years. I was finding it difficult to do in my old neighbourhood because nothing like this store was accessible to me. Imagine my joy when moving to the Bloordale neighbourhood to find a grocer like this. You can bring your own containers for filling. They have a tare system at the front of the store where you can calculate the weights of your containers before shopping. They have lots of great products from flours, dried foods, spices and most cooking essentials. They even has epson salts! The woman working there was also very pleasant and kind which is incredible in such strenuous of circumstances. Thank you to this store for existing and creating good for this world; Thank you to the essential workers feeding our communities and taking care of us! You guys are the real MVPS.

Love to have a low-waste shop in the neighbourhood! Some things are at very good prices, selection is great and the staff is very nice.I wish they offered paper bags instead of the plastic ones, but they have no issues serving in your own containers fortunately.

maybe it's a four and a half. could update the sound system for a wider stage. but not a sonos, nothing like that. nice to have the old amp n boxes. it's a cranston. not many fresh fruits and vegetables like apples and bananas and their chocolate tastes like the shop but we love this place in the neighborhood. we like that you have to close the door. feels domestic. we go all the time for fish cans n health bred. bone broth. it's not even that it feels domestic. it's like, everything is so easy these days. bring a little bit of care to public spaces. bananas and apples are great, we actually want them to have those. we like how the walnut gets snow on it, on the top, so it looks kind of like an acorn. It's cool, it's cool, it's cool. one time we went in there and, you know, we was looking for the yogurt, but the one that we normally get wasn't there, but then we went hey, they have like five different kinds. now we have a different kind that we use. they have changed our yogurt life. we are sure it's like three times more expensive. now the new shop that opened up down the street (not affiliated with the NH) is a little weird everyone knows that. anyway we think the margueretta mix is a little dated, we know that's a bit controversial. but they used to have these sticky corn things in there. they got rid of em! now we're tokyo about 2x / week, maybe it's a three

This place is an absolute gem. I’m not a neighbourhood resident, though I regularly make plans to go to Nuthouse specifically. The intention to reduce waste is clear with the ample variety of high quality goods in bulk, including harder-to-find bulk items such as maple syrup and chipotle powder! The team is knowledgeable and friendly, and there’s often great music playing. I love it!

Nuthouse is great. I used to go to Bulk Barn but I did a price comparison and all the things I was buying (outside of the brown rice) were cheaper at Nuthouse. The place is easy to navigate, is COVID safe, has recyclable packaging material (you can bring your own jars and the bags previously used), and the people who work there are always great help and fast with the check out. This is my new bulk store.

Lots of great health food and bulk options (coffee/tea/spices/olive oil etc). Good brands and quality items. Friendly staff and well organized store.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm being sensitive and then I see another reviewer has claimed racism. Poor passive aggressive service from who I assume is the owner (middle aged Caucasian male) here.
