Brew Detroit
An amazing space, amazing beers and most importantly amazing service from Xena and her team. Was excited to bring a Detroit History Tours group to Brew Detroit and from every planning stage through excellent settings, flight variety and personal tours all 50 of our participants couldn't have been happier! Can't wait to return for more tours in the coming months!

This was the first stop in town while I was there for a wedding. All staff was SO kind!! Bartender seemed new & in training - receipt said Connor (hoping that’s him) - but he was so eager to help and thoughtful.Very unsuspecting place; really great! This stop kicked off a fabulous weekend! :)

Got their fried pickles and oh my was it good!! Definitely get their fried pickles even just as an appetizer, you won’t regret it! And of course their beer is pretty dang good too. I’m coming back for more.

Alright, I have been waiting to do a review on Brew Detroit because I wanted to go back a few times for a fair assessment. This brewery is on point and should be on everyone's go to list. They have everything including great beer, food, pool tables, a shuffle board table, an outside seating area, cornhole (AKA bags) and an entire upper floor you can rent out for very large parties. The staff is second to none with their service being fast, accurate, and friendly. This is one of my top brewery's in Michigan.

I had a good experience stopping by for a few hours before my friends arrived in Detroit. Bartender was super nice and gave me some recommendations. The beers were good (not great) but I really liked the Yumtown which was almost like a Shandy. I was a little letdown by the food. It’s probably a little my fault for getting the most boring thing on the menu but I needed something healthy. The black bean veggie bowl was almost entirely rice. Not much roasted veggies. Honestly I think it was basically steamed broccoli. For $16, it was a poor value and bland. Black beans and veggies aren’t even expensive. But all in all I would go back because the service was so good and the beers were solid. I just probably wouldn’t eat. There is so much space I could see it being an awesome place to spend a few hours with friends

Full kitchen and a ton to do at this place. Been in a few times since the kitchen opened, but always after I've had food somewhere else, I'm planning a trip back just to try the food. I'll update them. As far as the place goes they are constantly improving an already cool place.Original review below:Huge place, great for groups. No food, just a tasting room, but they have some good beers on tap that they brew just for the tasting room, as well as a variety of beers they make for other breweries.

Absolutely fantastic! We participated in a tour of the facility with the general manager, who was friendly and informative. The facility is fascinating and amazing. Their beer and food is delicious! They have a wonderful event space and large patio. We will definitely be back for future visits.

Came here for the first time with a group of friends. We just came from Batch Brewery which is within walking distance. We played shuffleboard and had drinks. It was a great time. This is place I would highly recommend if you’re looking to go out and just have a good time. The Yumtown is a Cherry-Limeade Lager and I would highly recommend that one. It was the only thing I was drinking because of the amazing taste. They also have a pool table and a large bar with a lot of seats. I would recommend Brew Detroit if you’re looking for a good time with friends over some great beer!

Discreet. Or maybe better “hard to find” and tricky. But it’s really well worth the extra effort to get here. The Brew Detroit location looks like a warehouse and is so close to another Corktown brewery that you could easily end up in the wrong brewery. But persevere and ye shall be rewarded. On Abbot Street and look sharp for the fenced in lot on the south side of the street. Then go in what looks like the back door. Then follow the winding hallway around till you find a large open inviting space with beer! The service was great and the food was great too! But don’t get distracted by the good service, tasty food, sports on TV or games: you are here for the beer! I think my favorite thing was the Cerveza Delray beer. It’s a great beer made right on the premises.

I originally discovered Brew Detroit while strolling the aisles of Total Wine looking for a coffee stout to write home about...and I'll write home and to anyone about the Cold Brew Detroit Stout. The ode to Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company Motor City blend is sensational. Not only is Brew Detroit true to the beer, but they are true to the city. The eccentric nature of the decor is worth noting...from the octopus mural to the massive chalk board walls by the shuffle board table, the vibe is fully encompassing of the Motor City genre and a reflection of ingenuity. I appreciate the large central bar and attentive staff.Looking for a great pizza? Try The Joe. It's has some heat with the chili flakes!
