BMO Bank of Montreal

Disgusted with this branch. Went in due to a check from my father being held, was deposited via BMO app. Biggest mistake of my life. The manager working the teller desk gave me a number to call. Could not tell me any information or attempt to resolve the funds being on hold. I call the number and it's for fraud management.We are both BMO account holders, and the check is flagged for fraud? Appalling customer service. Had the funds been moved via etransfer there would be no hold. Furthermore, had I deposited the check in person, no fraud team would have flagged this. They've frozen my banking account over nothing. Fraud team does not even answer the phone, just says to leave a voicemail with them and they'll call me back? I have mortgage payments and bills tied to this account. Cannot even begin to describe the disgust and rage I have towards BMO right now.I will be writing a letter to head office regarding this situation. If a manager at a branch cannot assist a client in a timely manner what is the point of employing branch reps? Such an egregious mistake with huge consequences. Do not ever use their check deposit option on the app. They don't care what the ramifications are, they don't care about your time or stress or bill payments, they just freeze your account. The worst banking experience I have ever had in my life.

I have been a client of BMO for several years. Always had great service at this branch especially with Natasha Robertson. Would recommend her 100%.

It's a pretty badly run place. The place is constantly understaffed but there is way worst then this happening there.They lock your account without reaching out to you. When calling 1-800 help line to have the issue fix, they tell you that they are also locked out. They can't help. I will have to go to the branch in person.Once you show up in person at 10am opening time, there are 2 customer service employees and one manager and 7+ clients in the place. I don't want or like to be force to wait a good 10 minutes in public with 7+ strangers and 3 staff in covid time to regain access to my bank account and money.They have no functioning disinfecting station.This place is a bio hazard.I had a good run with them for 20+ years. Now they are a life aggravating distraction that I sincerely don't care for in my life.

Very rude customer service, if anyone wants to experience the most disrespectful experience, go find the Customer Service Rep at Champlain branch. She will give you the worst service you've ever had. You will then realize what a great job the service reps are doing at the other bank branches.

almost impossible to speak with anyone at the Dieppe branch, very frustrating and after being a client for 50 years I will now switch to another bank. Warren

Good place to bank just the only downside would be only 2-3 tellers working on site with long wait lines

Poor hours. Staff at the door have a bad attitude about actually servicing people. I think they would be happiest if nobody came to the branch. Fees go up and service the worst ever.

I was in the Dieppe branch today for a money exchange and just want to say that the teller who served me was awesome!!! She was very friendly and helpful and was training a new employee at the time. Her skills as a trainer were also impressive. I did not get her name but 5* from me for sure.
