Brokenrice Vietnamese Restaurant
We had a broken rice dish and a BBH and thought the broken rice dish was 100% better than the BBH.We saw a family next table bought their saigon crepe and looked really tasty so maybe we will try them next time.

Brokenrice Vietnamese Restaurant
I have tried a lot of different Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Vancouver area and Brokenrice is still an overall favourite. The Satay noodles, beef pho, and beef stew noodles are all top notch. Spring rolls are addictive and salad rolls are very fresh. It is abit on the pricier side for Vietnamese food, but I think taste-wise it’s worth it. The service can be hit or miss, but the food is always so good!

It is HIGHLY NOT recommended to eat at this restaurant as they may let you go into the kitchen and COOK BY YOURSELF!My friend went to the restaurant to pick up the food, waited patiently for 20 minutes without getting his meal, and asked the waiter, who looks like actually owned the restaurant, when they would get their meal. The waiter told my friend they weren't ready yet, did my friend want to go to the kitchen and cook by himself?This is so RUDE! Why would you be so rude to your customers? How unreasonable is the question? Isn't 20 minutes long enough to wait? Is it wrong to ask when the order will be ready? Could it be that waiting so long for a meal to be ready is the customer's reason?Is it true if the costumer asked when the meal is ready, the waiter will let the customer to go into the kitchen and cook by himself?Are you sure about this? Is it what you mean?So next time I go to this restaurant, can I also go into the kitchen and cook by myself?It is so HORRIBLE!! The service of this place is such rude that I would never recommend anyone go to this restaurant. NEVER!！！

Disappointed experience. They take your order by verbal memorization. Impressive when it’s done right, but terrible when half an hour later they tell you the order got messed up, then try to recall what you ordered only to tell you the wrong thing (no wonder my order was messed up).Ordered beef carpaccio (bland, needed more acidity like other popular pho restaurants). Duck sliders (needed some more sauce or richness to counter bland bun), Saigon crepe (again, mediocre at best), and Spicy Hue Lemongrass pho (lemon grass taste was there but it was missing a rich broth).The decor is interesting, like they took over an old Greek restaurant (I’m not sure of their history). It’s dimly lit in a not so appealing way. We sat window side and seemed like we were dining under emergency lighting and was so happy when the street light outside came on. If you’re gonna set the dim lighting, you gotta set the mood too! Off point. Would unfortunately not return and do not recommend.

First time trying Brokenrice. It wasn't the Best and it wasn't the worst. Atmosphere is nice. The place is clean. Staff are efficient...not overly friendly but polite. The food is very middle lane. I had read some really good reviews so expected much more flavour. Perhaps it was the dish I picked. I must say though my daughters Lemon Grass Chicken was very tasty..I wished I had ordered that for myself. Prices are high I think...for the taste.

I love this pho spot! Super clean, chill environment and great quality food! The service is also great, my water glass never went empty. The staff are nice and parking is great. Love coming here!

Went there around 4pm and not that crowded.We tried “Pork Three Ways”, “Stir-fried Lemongrass Chicken&Chilli” and “Vegetarian Pho”. The “Pork Three Ways” was delicious, the best Cơm Tấm in town for me so far. It was on point. Had the flavorful taste like in Viet Nam. The meat loaf was chef’s kiss. Wish they had some pickled radish as it would be better than the shredded lettuces.“Stir-fried Lemongrass Chicken&Chilli” tasted like heaven. Though it was a bit bland for me.“Vegetarian Pho” was boring, and kinda disappointing. I would like to have some tofu, not just only veggies in it. The broth was not tasty and rich at all, pretty bland.The server that took our order was kinda careless and unprofessional. We communicated with him in Vietnamese as we knew for sure he was Vietnamese too. Instead, he spoke English the whole time with us while he spoke in Vietnamese with another server. He was not really friendly at all as we called him to ask for some more fish sauce but he did not respond. The other server was much nicer and way more helpful.Atmosphere was a good point here. It was nicely decorated, felt like being back in Viet Nam.

First time at brokenrice and had a delicious meal! We got two plates to share between the two of us - the lemongrass chicken with egg and the shaken beef which came with a watercress salad on top. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. Well portioned as well!

Brokenrice Vietnamese Restaurant
This is one of our favourite take out places. We often get the house pho and the house vermicelli. Very tasty and good value. Their spring rolls are great. The two different sliders on their menu are also go to items.The people seem quite friendly as well. I recommend them for sure.
