Excellent experience with Tony as the instructor for both the Non-Restricted and Restricted courses. Tony's teaching style and jovial demeanor created a welcoming environment and atmosphere. Tony did an excellent job at teaching everything theory based, and did an even better job at teaching and reinforcing good habits for the practical sections of the courses. He made sure to not only correct any mistakes, but also explain why and how they should be avoided in the future.Overall I had an excellent experience, and I recommend Tony as a first choice to anyone who wants to learn about the safe operation of firearms.

Tony is a great instructor. Very thorough and lots of hands on. Very comfortable and friendly environment. I had lots of fun and learned a lot from the combined non restricted and restricted course! Highly recommend.

I took my non-restricted/restricted firearms course and completed the tests with this academy and I'd never handled a firearm before and was a little worried I wouldn't be able to learn what I needed to in such a short time. Instructor was very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. The course was very complete and the practice with the firearms was excellent. I would definitely recommend everyone to take classes from this place and they provide a variety of course here. So I highly recommend this place.

I completed both the CFSC/CRFSC courses this past weekend with Master Instructor, Tony Di Salvatore. Prior to settling on an Instructor, I had both done extensive research and had consulted on the experience/reviews left by others; all roads leading to Tony! Tony is a brilliant instructor - professional, knowledgeable and has extensive international experience, skill and expertise. The coursework was a balanced combination of theoretical and practical learning, and the pace of the course was perfect for those with limited knowledge about firearms. Tony is a very patient instructor, but very firm when it comes to firearm safety, which I most appreciated. From him, I learned proper handling, storage, and utilization of firearms, as well as the laws governing. I highly recommend Tony as an instructor - I left his class with the confidence, knowledge and practical experience required to safely operate firearms, in large part, due to Tony. Look no further for a Master Instructor, Tony is your guy! Thank you, Tony! Terrific courses, and I will surely recommend you to all!

Tony is not at all what I suspected, but in an entirely good way. Where I expected a possibly dry, high-school-class-like atmosphere, I was shown anything but. Tony has a constant focus on safety, constantly reinforcing the idea that the most important thing to do at any time is ensure your firearm is safe.Tony does a great job of using humour to keep people engaged, and I never once felt bored. He's thorough, and to lighten up what could otherwise be a monotonous tread through the history of firearms, his humour keeps people interested and listening.You will get a lot of hands on experience with (deactivated, safe) firearms, which is incredibly invaluable. As each day goes on you feel more and more that you understand and can safely engage with firearms in the future.Thank you again Tony, I really appreciate your dedication to teaching people not just what is required, but far and beyond how to be safe around firearms.

Tony is an excellent firearms instructor. I had no previous firearms experience, and now I am confident in handling multiple different firearms. He is very detail oriented, personable, and easy going, which made taking the courses with him easy and memorable. I highly recommend taking both restricted and non-restricted firearms courses with Tony!

Tony is great instructor. I have learned alot about firearm handling and safety. The practical training is best training I ever get. I would recommend everyone to do firearm course with Canadian Firearms Academy. Course fee is way less then other instructors in the market.

My family and I signed up at Canadian Firearms Academy to take our Combined PAL/RPAL course - Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Tony is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced instructor, who's also very fun and approachable. I was very nervous and he was patient and supportive and he really helped me get over my apprehension to firearms.I loved the environment - a class room setting, with a laid back yet very professional feel. I enjoyed content and how it was delivered. Tony makes asking questions very easy and is great at making sure you understand the answers. There was a lot of practical training and instruction and I felt very prepared going into the testing.Overall I had a wonderful experience with the Canadian Firearms Academy and would recommend taking their courses to anyone interested in firearms training and safety.
