About the Business

Red Deer Memorial Centre | The auditorium located within the Red Deer Memorial Centre is the largest performing arts facility in the City of Red Deer. Originally part of the A-20 Training Camp during WWII. The renovations included a memorial wall in the lobby as a tribute to those who lost their lives in World Wars I and II. Recent renovations to the 704-seat facility include replacement of the aging seats, new drapery and a refurbished lobby and facade. Playing host to a wide variety of artists and events, both local and international, the Red Deer Memorial Centre plays an integral role in the arts scene in central Alberta.

The Memorial Centre creates an intimate setting to see plays, concerts, etc. The seats are comfortable and well placed. Ticket prices are good.

Wheelchair accessible, extra friendly and very helpful staff, elevator to auditorium. Amazing sound in building like no other venue. Love the smaller size. I have seen top performances here and have been blown away! A couple of my favorite were Biff Naked, Sam Robert's and just recently a play put on by Hunting Hills of Mama Mia. Amazing live entertainment with a band composing the music just below front and center stage for the performers. Very impressive!

As the Alternate Principal Percussionist of the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, it has been my honour and privilege to perform here a few times over the years. The production staff are great, and extremely helpful to me given the equipment logistics I routinely have to deal with. Here are a couple of photos from the engagement during which I got to perform with Steven Page and cover some good ol' Barenaked Ladies tunes! Thanks for the beautiful venue and all of the support, folks! :-)

Went to the ABBA cover band, ABRA! The sound and performance was excellent. When we got there there was a huge lineup. Immediately someone came outside and directed us to a side door where we walked right in and had our tickets scanned immediately. We were seated within 2 minutes of arriving at the door. Although the wine they serve is not good. They need to find a way to get away from the wine that comes in 6 oz plastic cups. It always tastes as if it's gone bad. That would be my one suggestion if I was in charge of Memorial center

Beware of them cancelling events and keeping your money. We were told we could get a refund after our event was postponed and we were unable to attend the new date scheduled for two months later, but they kept a third of what we paid as fees". And it took over two weeks of calling the phone number provided to finally have someone answer the phone. I understand in these times that the band could not help postpone as a member was sick but I do not see why I should be charged fees when this was entirely out of my control."

Went to the Stampeders" concert & it was great. Very clean & easy to navigate to washrooms... confectionary.. to your seat. Ramps are outside leading in to Elevator for people with disabilities/wheel chairs. Acoustics inside are excellent too. Vision is excellent as the seats are sloping so you can see over the person ahead of you & no posts to have to look around.Very impressed with the set-up and lots of parking outside too.(Saw "The Stampders" many years ago for our High School Grad and now 53 years later - oh what a rush of memories)."
