Sensei Alex works really well with the kids, despite the young age, he holds them accountable for their actions and works to teach them proper ways of handling themselves. Self control, perseverance, integrity, respect, indomitable spirit, truth - things to live by that aren't just limited to karate. It's great to see educators that help teach these important values to our next generations.

I have been training with Sensei Alex for over 5 years now and he is amazing. He is great with kids and adults, his teaching make the classes engaging and exciting. His passion for martial arts and for sharing his knowledge is inspiring. Great dojo, great team, great spirit!

Sensei Alex is so dedicated and passionate about teaching his students. My son has been thriving here and has been learning so much! Our two children attended Capicio Zen Karate for just over three years. Our daughter was 7 when she first started attending and progressed to an orange belt and attended three or four tournaments.Our son, two years younger, started attending when he was six. He too attended the same tournaments.Both learned a lot from competition and the variety of permanent and guest instructors.When Sensei Alex had the opportunity to take over the lease this year and level up his Dojo, we were very excited for him and the students.We recently left the Dojo - not because anything was wrong with the environment, nor the instruction... simply put the new time slots conflicted with other family commitments.Both children have nothing but love and respect for Sensei Alex, his instruction, and his family who also participate and teach within the Dojo.If you're looking for a respectful, values based Dojo to involve your children in, check out Capicio Zen Karate & Kickboxing.
