National Car Rental

It's not at all beneficial, renting from National. My experience with them has not been good, rented a car 2 times with them and it was all fine. But when I went again they were not even able to accommodate me. Even after having cars.I would recommend renting from enterprise location on kentmount Rd. Near Avalon mall. They give the best rates in town and are far better than them. Not only that but they will also drop you of to the airport.The only additional cost will be the taxi fare to go to that location. But even after that you will be paying less.Just forgot to mention I am also a member of the Emerald club for National, but they don't even value their own member.

We reserved a car on line for our trip to St. John's NL. The on-line reservation system worked well but our 8 day trip got the 7 day price but the dates (Sept. 11-18) were correct. Anyway, we had a small surprise when we got billed for the extra day after our trip. Otherwise, National provided great service and a great car. Easy to pick it up and easier to drop it off. It made our holiday very comfortable. Thanks.

Rental a car for first time ever. Really good service definitely recommend.

Low mileage SUV had good features for the winter rental (heated seats and steering). Worked great for the 800+ km that I drove it. National service was great and I will actually switch my business rentals to National for 2020 from a major competitor due to both the good service, nice can and a fairer price.

National continues to be my preferred Rental Vehicle Company. Something I really like about National is their Emerald Club and App. There always seems to be good selection, booking is super easy and it makes it much more convenient when traveling by air. Because of Emerald Club, you are able to skip the line" and go right to the vehicle and get on the road much quicker. Staff when picking up or dropping off vehicles are always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend National as a Rental Vehicle provider. I also highly recommend downloading the National/Emerald Club App

From pick-up to return, the experience was very good. The counter staff person was helpful, professional, and efficient. When the car I thought I wanted was not available, the counter person patiently listened to what I needed and then advised me on the qualities of each vehicle so I could figure out which vehicle to take. The vehicle was exactly what I needed and it was quite fun to drive! I highly recommend the St. John’s Airport location of National Car Rental.

Made reservations months in advance. Am an Executive Elite member but when we arrived at 1:30am (they close at 2pm) there was noone in sight. I called them at 1:58pm to inform them we were arriving at 1:30am and inquired about vehicle availability. Was told if I had a reservation, I would have a car. Calls to customer service was unhelpful. Had to take a cab to our hotel and returned at 9:30am to get car (another taxi). National was closed so we had to go to Enterprise. No line when we got there but within 30 minutes two planes arrived and line had 20+ people. No cars were available and they had 2 employees out with Covid so cleaning was slower, but 45 minutes later we had a car. Brian was awesome and made a bad situation better.

Really enjoyed my trip this time. I even upgraded my vehicle to the 2019 Ford Edge. I own a 2013 so it was nice to be able to rent one like mine. The best part was that it had GPS navigation, and the automatic hatchback open when you stick your foot under. Really enjoyed the service at National rent-a-car and I will continue to use them as long as I rent vehicles

Booking a car through National was easy. Got upgraded to a full size SUV instead of the midsize requested. Returning vehicle was just as easy. Representative was on the lot during return and check out was just as quick. Highly recommend National to anyone renting in St John’s.

One of our best vehicle rentals ever. Our family was joining us so we booked a mini van with 2 child car seats. They do not guarantee the child care seats, however, we arrived to find ourselves picking up a brand new mini van (39 Kms on it) with 2 new child car seats still in the store packaging. Awesome! When the staff person, Serina, saw we had luggage and the car seats to contend with, she kindly had another employer drive us and our belongings up to the vehicle. Another staff person met us there and offered to install the child car seats. Terrific service. Also, due to changing plans we landed up calling to change both our pick-up and drop-off times, no problem and no extra charge. First rate experience all around.
