Soon after a year of installing my Barkman firepit (bought through Rona), one stone cracked. When asked for a replacement here's what the explanation was from Barkman operational excellence Manager.You all can decide if it makes sense as only one stone cracked. Pic attached.Quote:I was made aware of the cracked block. Even though it is still within a year, sometimes the bricks will crack after exposure to rapidly changing temperatures, especially in our climate. This can be mitigated by lining the interior of the firepit with firebrick, which will help to absorb and dissipate the heat from a fire. Unfortunately, this is not covered by warranty.Unquote.

We completely remodeled our exterior with Barkman products and love everything. Unfortunately we are having a hard time getting any type of service. As part of our yard Reno we purchased 5 large plant pots with self water system for our backyard and have called Barkman 3 times to talk to someone about how to set them up and emailed as well with no response ever. We went on the website and all it says is to refer to the instructions which we never received, or talk to a Barkman rep. A little frustrating after spending almost $700 per plant pot.

At first glance I was very happy with out patio and the stone. But not even 8months of having it the stone is flaking and chipping. Apparently a known issue in their manufacturing process. In the end it will cost you more money to have to replace. They will warranty the actual stone but not the labor..so if you hired someone to install this most likely it will cost you to get the stones replaced. 15 stones have all sorts of chipping happing. Again this is a known manufacturing issue. So I'd recommend doing your research and maybe chech other companies stone first.
