I had a problem with the laundry tub pump. They did not know anything about the pump I had.Understood, you can’t be knowledgeable about everything but, they asked me to find themanual and tried to sell me on a better one. They did take care of the problem but I am somewhat doubtful.Also, I wanted them to inspect and get my water softeners running. They knew nothingAbout the system I had which was another reason I had them come.They didn’t even attempt to clean off my washer which is where they laid their tools.They spent more time trying to figure out my bill on their phones then anything else.Overall, not a great experience

The service we received from Manax was excellent. We were wanting to end the contract with Reliance and after calling Manax we had a new water heater installed in less than a week. I will be calling Manax for any future plumbing needs and highly recommend using this local company who care about their customers.

Well, good morning, first, I have been a client for 35 years. I had your technician come in to install a UV light in the water softener. Once the UV light was installed he informed me that the UV light does not work because the BALIST needs to be replaced for it to function. He said he would check with head office about getting a balist and would hold off billing me. Not 10 minutes later I receive a bill for $380.78 for work performed. I called your office, inquiring why I was billed for something that doesn't work. They really couldn't comment, and said they would check into getting THE BALIST. I asked to speak to ALEX, they said they would leave a message for him to call me on Monday Sept. 13th. Needless to say, I am NOT IMPRESSED. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, and it appears from discussions with the technician and your office there could be ADDITIONAL CHARGES, in the ball park, of over $400.00 . To conclude, I believe the technician could have been a little more transparent about the repair/installation so that a decision could be made on how to proceed. I AM NOT HAPPY. Looking forward to hearing from ALEX in the coming days.

Job: Install water softener chlorine-removal system (WS).Conclusion: Rather disappointing! Difficult company to deal with. Inadequate service tho the guys that came into our home and did the work were agreeable enough. Manax over-promised and under-delivered. (I hate to give this review but felt I should to help others).Alex promised stress-free, trouble-free water solution with a new water-softener system that would use less salt and also remove chlorine.It's been anything but stress-free due to little mistakes that caused big problems - which wouldn't have been a big deal if they had taken me seriously and promptly sent someone back to check/fix it and taken responsibility for their work. Also, they wouldn't honour their warrantee on labour beyond 3 months even tho the job wasn't fully completed by that time, and even tho we paid over $2000.00 for it!Unfortunately, it seems Manax has become more concerned about his bottom line, image, and covering up mistakes - even to the point of blame-shifting. (and sends multiple emails with pages of terms of service, limitations, exclusions…).A few tips: Insist they test your water before and after installation (and show you), and make sure they program it based on the hardness you actually have, not their guess (ours was set way too high so it went thru way too much salt and was way too slippery). And if you can smell chlorine, it's there - even if their test doesn't detect it (as it didn't even when the water had full chlorine b/c it wasn't even going thru the unit!). Also insist that they come back to complete the job if they didn't remove the old salt tank on installation - don't agree to switch the tanks later yourself. It's part of the job and the diagnostics and water hardness test needs to be run again to ensure is working properly. Read the manual, and contact the manufacturer if all else fails.Excalibur Water Softener seems to be quality - tho it may be better to keep filtering and softening separate - time will tell...
