We ended up going on a Sunday. Unfortunately the museum and the farmers market were closed. There was the boat shop which wasn't open but the lady that works there was kind enough to invite us in and we had a great time listening to her adventures and discussing ours.

Amazing gem on the northshore with fabulous and rare fossil displays. Local life and general history section and Anna Swan the giantess museum. Set on the A stunning waterfront where you can see bald eagles hunting if your lucky! If you plan your visit it is located right next to the grain elevator artisan market. The Grace Jollimore arts centre and the farmers market. But opening times of all these are seasonal.

Creamery Square Heritage Society
The Creamery is much larger and more comprehensive than I thought it would be. It includes museums, exhibits, collections and archives for the Northumberland Shore region. There is an exhibit describing the production Tatamagouche butter the Brule Fossil, and the Anna Swan Display, which tells the story of the local giantess. There is also an Acadian/Mi’kmaq exhibit, a gift shop, picnic area and beautiful views of the Waugh River.

Enjoyed the heritage center here, not an expensive museum which you should visit while you are here. Staff was very friendly and gave a great informative tour.
