Taft's Auto Wreckers

Tried to get quote. Low balled me at $400 on my 2012 Honda when I know for a fact that they took my neighbors car for $700 that was much older and in worse shape. I told him this and he made some excuse about having to come far. My neighbors car was scrapped last summer or fall. Really disappointed.

Great people. Other than having to run and get cash out, service was excellent. No troubles finding the car and part I was looking for, they even moved a car that wasnt accessible for me. Definitely go back. Prices are unbeatable. Paid less than $10 for a part that would cost $180 brand new.

I've been coming here for 20 years. Great to deal with, it's a help yourself facility so bring tools. Normally they have lots of stock but my last visit scrap prices were high so not as much inventory as usual.

Proper name is Woodbeck Auto Wreckers, Limited. Needed a seat belt buckle an a replacement stereo for our minivan. Good prices.

Very few yards allow you to fetch your own parts. Found a similar vehicle to mine, removed a center dash vent, chrome plastic trim ring,and a gear shift knob. Went to pay the man, and realized I was not wearing my coat that contains my wallet.Get this!!! He told me that I could take the parts ( this was a Saturday, close to closing) and come back Monday and pay for the items then. Of course I returned Monday, went back to the vehicle, grabbed a few things and went and paid the gentleman. Fair selection and great price.

Great place :) worth a visit just to poke around and see what they've got. Iv always got a list in mind and the owner is very fair in his pricing, flat out refusing double (still a deal) iv never left this place empty handed and the parts have all worked out :)

Exetremly rude and condescending!!!The scales are off as well so don't bother going here if you want to be accurate!Old man is miserable and unfortunately very unprofessional

When I am back east, I always find time to visit Tim at Taft's. The office quickly becomes a hang-out for the spinning of tall tales. There is no doubt Tim can seem gruff on the phone, but he is nothing but a decent dude. He moves a LOT of metal so asking him on the phone what he has in the yard is not going to go the way you want it to. When scrap prices are high, there wont be as many vehicles, that's just the way it works. It's one of the few yards of it's type and is always worth a browse. If you aren't willing to take the drive and have a wander, don't bother. I hope it is still operating when I can come for another visit; Been a few years now.

One start is too much Mr.Taft.I don’t know know what happened to him but he is a miserable old man now. Very condescending And rude.Mr.Taft does not have his scale numbers where you can see them. You have to take his word on what your load weighs. I know he undercuts because I took a load to Brighton recycling and then took it to tafts and the the difference was unbelievable.Don’t recommend this company. Go to Brighton recycling instead. They are more honest.
