A pretty decent meal overall - the smashed cucumber salad was excellent, flavourful and tasty. The braised dishes were well done too, great flavour, though the pork hock was a bit intimidating to my western sensibilities.The soups were pretty watery, the pan fried dumplings weren’t super crispy.Service was a bit slow, but friendly at least.And decently affordable too.

Best Chinese restaurant in the city! In love with their smashed cucumber salad which is just perfect for a hot summer day. Prices for dumplings are just a little steep, but there is also NO reason to charge $1 extra for pan-fried dumplings over boiled because the 1-2 tablespoons of oil that they use per serving costs less than 10% of that surcharge." Went there for the first time with my friend on wednesday. I had one of their combos, it came with corn soup and honestly it was the best soup i’ve ever had in my life. The shrimp dumplings were amazing, you could also see them making fresh dumplings at the front it was really nice to watch. The service was great and the place was really pretty. Will definitely go there again❤️

I haven’t really had a bad experience here! I order pretty regularly and it is consistent. My favourite is the general tso chicken dumplings. The first couple times I ordered I got pan fried dumplings, I found them tasty but really oily. Once I started ordering them steamed they were perfect :) love the fresh lime sodas as well. I’ve dined in once too and the service was friendly.

My friends and I decided to go here based on the results of a coin toss and gravity was on our side with that one. There is something incredible when a restaurant commits to their branding so whole heartedly. This place knows they’re good and absolutely does not hold back in flaunting it. Absolutely incredible meal that I paired with a ginger ale, truly a great experience.

I waited 1h30 to get dumplings. It was good, but absolutely terrible service. I understand you are overwhelmed and under staff, but i didn't pay less because I got less service. Will not be coming back ever!

Wow this place is amazing. Was visiting some friends in Ottawa and they had leftovers from takeout the night before.Before embarking on our journey home, we had to get two sets of dumplings for the road. I've never had better dumplings than these freshly made ones! The general Tao chicken dumplings pan fried were my favorite. I will definitely be coming back every time I visit the nation's capital!

Tried this new place last year, I really really enjoyed watching the ladies make the dumplings fresh, it’s a lovely setup. We got a beef flavour and a chicken flavour, both pan fried. They come with soy sauce but I liked them without the soy sauce as I found them to be a bit too salty for my liking. I’d go again but I need to find a better sauce to enjoy them with to help with the saltiness.
