Springwater Provincial Park
An ideal hiking and skiing spot with beautiful tall evergreen trees! The snow was gracefully soft, fresh and fluffy. I had one of the best winter hikes there. I was quite surprised that this provincial park was almost empty with only a few random skiers. Will go again to see it in a different light. The pictures don’t do justice. You should experience to believe.

Well marked trails. The north west section in red trail was muddy, managed to maneuver through with a pair of hiking shoes. A peaceful place for a walk near Barrie.

We went for the Christmas lights on the 24th and it was OK. The middle of the drive was completely dark and by the time the generator kicked in, we were almost done. Plus for some reasons we paid 40 bucks which I found weird cause the website advertised less. We may go back again next year but it will not be one of our must see Christmas destinations.Correction as I just checked the website again... the fees ARE indeed 40$ on weekends but roughly 27 during the week.

Went for a hike there yesterday. We haven't been there in a couple of years and things seem to have gone downhill. All the trails have grown in except the 5km. loop that needs a lot of maintenance as well. We had to turn back half way as there was a long bog with no logs or lumber laid down. Hope things get better.

Love this beautiful park, so peaceful and therapeutic. There's something spiritually about that place that makes you feel so connected with nature and the beauty of it! Looking forward to exploring more of the trails. We did the green and purple trails and it was so calm and relaxing. A great place for meditation as well. The gatekeeper at the front entrance is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His smile is so welcoming. Will definitely go back!

Lovely place, but went for a planned event and was told the gates would be open to be able to drive through to the picnic area we needed and when we arrived the gates were closed, not a soul in sight to open them either. Had to walk with event items through the entire park instead. Nice park to spend time with friends and family but definitely don't expect the gates to be open for a drive through the park.

Very Easy and kid's friendly trails, nice day trip to get away from city for just an hour drive. There are benches along the trail for people to take rest if they need to. Washroom is closed during this time and remember to bring you mosquito repellent spray.

Great trail, it was just hard to locate the entrance as the map will take you to a government office. Go to the gazebo further down the left side of the building and you will see an entrance. The trails were not marked that i saw or may not be very visible. I had to download a trail map from all trails to not get turned around. Come in the winter time its magical.
