A Hidden Gem Bed and Breakfast

The best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at. Sue is a phenomenal cook and I have never had the option of choosing breakfast like from a menu! I highly recommend Hidden Gem! Easy to get to and from Detroit for sightseeing. Nola Restaurant within walking distance was excellent.

I could not give this place anything less than a perfect rating. Our stay here was incredible. The property is located in such a walkable area near the riverfront, with tons of places to shop and a plethora of diverse restaurants nearby. It was clean and welcoming with all of the needed amenities and more. The owners, Sue & Troy, were so kind, hospitable, and helpful with a lot of knowledge of the area to offer many suggestions. We were provided with visitor’s guides and a binder of information about the area which helped us pick some places to explore. The breakfast was something I’d pay good money for at a restaurant—absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to stay here again.

I stayed here with a friend over the weekend and I really enjoyed my stay! The room we stayed in called the loft was incredbly beautiful, cozy and comfy. They have a reading nook which you can look out the window and enjoy a book. They have coloring stuff in the room in case you want to color. The room has a microwave which is awesome. A fantastic working A/C in the room and the jaccuzi is nice and relaxing as well. I had the quiche for breakfast and it was super filling and delicious. The owners are extremely friendly too. Romeo the cat was also a cute addition to the bed and breakfast. I also want to note how cute it was when we seen our names on the door to welcome us. Thank you so much for the lovely stay. :)

A Hidden Gem B&B is really a hidden gem! We stayed in the loft room and it was absolutely perfect and so cozy! We choose to stay at a B&B because we wanted to have a more warm and welcoming experience than staying at a regular hotel and that was exactly what Sue and Troy offer at their B&B. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone! We just wanted to state as well that the breakfast options were amazingly delicious! The world needs a chain of hidden gems".I am an essential worker in Ontario. Travel to cover this large province is required. I have had great challenges finding what I consider a "safe" place to stay during these pandemic times. This is far better than any premium hotel I have stayed in. The hosts have made their place incredibly clean

Sue & Troy are just the nicest most welcoming hosts. The home and rooms are beautiful. Our breakfast was delicious. They allowed us to get married on the front steps of the B&B and we had cake and champagne after in their dining room. They even helped us clean up afterwards. The home was an idyllic back drop for our ceremony. I can't say enough nice things about them and their home. I'm excited to celebrate future anniversarys in the home where we were married! Thank you.

I stayed for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself and I would go back in a heartbeat. The breakfast was delicious, Sue is interesting and personable and so friendly, the place is spotless with great character. Very close to the lovely Walkerville neighbourhood and a short walk to Riverside Drive for a lovely walk along the Detroit River. Highly recommended.
