The store from which I bought my wedding dress recommended Fitwell Clothing for alterations. We trusted Fatima with both my wedding dress and my husband's suit alterations for our wedding in April.She was kind, timely, and very knowledgeable. Her understanding of wedding dresses and alterations always impressed me at every visit. She always took the time to ensure you were 100% satisfied with how she had things pinned and we never felt rushed at all. Also, her prices were very reasonable, and she was very thorough at explaining the work that needed to be done and how that was reflective in the price. Her transparency was greatly appreciated.You can see from the flowers, thank-you cards, and compliments that fill her store that she always goes above and beyond, especially for brides. I would recommend her to anyone!

Last October 21st, 2022, my wife and I were to receive Honourary Doctorates of Law, at the Autumn Convocation of Western University in front of the Social Sciences Dept. graduates and the Arts & Humanities Dept. graduates. I went to Fitwell Clothing, for suit and pant alteration, since I am an amputee. She has always treated me with respect. I learned a few words in Portuguese to thank her culturally. We were dressed and received our degrees to great acclaim.

READ BEFORE TAKING YOUR BUSINESS HERE.I went in to have my initials embroidered on my tote bag. The owner said it would be 25$ plus tax for what I wanted, at that time I paid that amount in cash so that my mom could pick this item up for me when it was ready. I gave my mom the receipt and told her it is paid for so when it's ready you can just go in and pick it up.The owner calls me later than the original quoted timeline( not a big deal) and says the bag is done and ready, but that it actually cost extra money and it would have been 30$ plus tax instead of 25$. Good business practice if you mess up the cost of your services would be just to eat the cost of your mistake. She instead informs me that I have to pay the extra money. I say ok that's fine my mom will pay the difference when she comes in.My mom picks up the bag, and tells me she had to pay full price as the owner claimed it wasn't paid since it wasn't written on the receipt. I know for a fact that I paid her cash at the time I went in. I call her and she claims she has to check the receipt. Whether she marked it down or not, that is her own issue with her own system not mine. She says she will refund my mother if she goes back to the store. She does not apologize for the mix up in any way but instead insinuates that I'm lying by saying all her other receipts have paid" on them. Continues to say the 30 or so dollars isn't worth it.I'm an honest person

Do not go for suitsTerrible experience shortening my suit sleeves, the pictures are self explanatory. She did not put the fourth button on? And then when I went back for her to fix it she put it on crooked again?Not coming back

First off, there is a $65 hidden consultation fee. I got my prom dress altered here. Said it would take over 5 weeks to be adjusted. Wanted shoulders and length of dress to be shortened. Dress is still too long, and uneven. Ridiculous amount we paid for the little effort put in. I think I deserve a refund for the poor job that was done. I’m not happy with my results and prom is on Thursday, so there is almost no time left to even get it fixed. Very disappointed and poor customer service was provided. I will not be coming back here.

Fatima is wonderfully talented. She has provided timely alternations for all my needs - from my daughters’ prom dresses, to bathing suits, slacks, jeans and everything in between. Highly recommend her for any of your alterations.

The few places that dry clean wedding dresses, they did a amazing job, I couldn't be happier. I have also brought my winter coat too and was perfectly cleaned

When I booked an appointment I wasn’t made aware that there would be a charge for a consultation to determine the cost of work that was needed to be done.Upon arrival there was no costs posted anywhere and the person I dealt at no point mentioned a cost for a consultation.At the end of the consultation she said there was a charge for the meeting. I said that we was not made aware of that and we were just looking at options (per the original phone call). The person got upset with us and tried to gas light us into paying the fee we weren’t made aware of. We eventually were able to leave but without numerous attempts to leave and say we weren’t paying for something we were made aware of at any point before the meeting or on the phone call.On top of this specific incident the person we dealt was unfriendly, argumentative, and unprofessional (she didn’t even know my name or why I was there even though I booked the appointment)I wouldn’t suggest using this business

I had my wedding dress tailored here and it was exceptional service from start to finish. The owner finished everything on time and was very sweet throughout the entire process. If you need any alterations, look no further! Highly recommend!

Fatima did an absolutely fantastic job altering my wedding dress! It was too big for me, but with just one fitting she had altered it perfectly. Very reasonable pricing for wedding dresses - I had gone elsewhere for a quote initially and am so glad I brought my dress to Fatima instead! - Christina
