Super friendly staff, great selection and lovely atmosphere!My friend and I went in with a few questions and the employee was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and we even discussed a bit of chess strategy for awhile. Ended up purchasing “Spirit Island” per the recommendation of the employee.Their COVID-19 measures were confusing, however. We were made to go up an elevator to ask someone to open the store for us, then we descended the elevator just to use the phone to call for the employee. The instructions could have been clearer.

Had a really bad experience here. I was looking for a specific game, and the lady that was working that day sold me a version that looked a little off and had a post it on it. I asked to make sure that was the right version and not the expansion and she threw away the post it and assured me it was. When I got home I opened it and discovered it was the expansion (that’s what was written on the post it she threw away). When I called to inform her not one apology was uttered. I asked for the manager’s email to bring it to their attention and I was given the generic email address, where the same lady that helped me replied (who knows if the manager saw it). Really bad customer service and they’re not even aware of their own inventory. I drove back to return everything and bought the game from the shop down the street.

I went on my summer vacation to Montreal and I visited this boardgames store. The guy that was working here was a very nice person. I could say it was the most helpful person that I met on any store on my visit to Montreal.

The go to place in Montreal, particular for chess books. Owner is super helpful and knowledgeable, gave us great advice on what to buy. Will definitely be back!

During a recent vacation in Montreal we were taking a walk and stumbled upon this store. They have everything from boardgames to cube puzzles. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are fair not expensive not cheap. Recommend if you're in town with a 10-year-old boy as we were.

Deceived by these guys, was told I will be getting my order in a day and it got delayed. Don't say things which can't be done. And I got a big surprise it got delivered to the post office and I payed $8 on top of my order for DELIEVERY where DELIEVERY means to be sent to my house. Very terrible!

Staff was very nice and they have a great selection of English and French boards games. The employee I talked to went out of his way to find other places for me to buy a board game I was looking for. Would return next time I am in Montreal.

I ordered a triple weight full size tournament pieces and a vinyl board over the weekend. I was a little worried how the chess board would survive shipping as vinyl creases easily if folded.Shipping was super fast and the board was packed with care to ensure no folds/creases. The quality of the board and set exceeded my expectations and the price was way better than amazon or some leading chess suppliers.It's a joy playing with this set! I've included a couple photos comparing my travel set to the tournament set. Would shop here again!Thanks so much!
