Terrible service. The owners have no customer service skills whatsoever. They didn’t want to do anything for me but to get me to spend more money in their store. Waited for three hours in their store to rectify the situation and it wasn’t until a representative from one of their products that is being sold on the shelf at home hardware , rectified the situation in less then 5 minutes. Why? Cause the product company promised to credit home hardware for loss of money. Home hardware is more concerned about losing money then making their customers happy. They acted like the money was coming out of their own pay check! They could have just claimed it with their representative but they chose to make this hard for their customers!!! Thank you to the kind representative “DOUG” for stepping up to the plate when the two owners of home hardware of Fsj should of . How can u shop local if you cant get the same great customer service that the big box stores give to you?? Customer service means everything when I shop at a store . But clearly you have enough customers and no room for more. Such a shame

Decent selection. Staff is mostly helpful. Lots of parking. Clean bathroom. Clean store. Prices are higher than Canadian Tire on many things. Efficient returns, as long as you have receipt, package is unopened, and the sun is in the right part of the sky. Not much has changed.

Got paint today. Samantha wiggleworth is worth the time she is amazing.This store is good all around find some unique things here.

I am disappointed with today's purchase. Long story short, I ordered clover seed in April. At the time I was charged in advance and paid with cash. I unfortunately lost the receipt by the time I was finally able to pick up the seed in June. I had been unable to go to the store due to them closing at 6 p.m. weekdays and not being open on Sundays at all.When I got the clover seed on June 12th, 2023, I was informed of two things:1. my name was indeed on the form, but it had for some reason been cancelled and thus my payment of cash lost.2. Without a receipt, I had to pay twice for the seed. Holding up my end of the bargain, as I'd ordered the product, I did so but will never again if possible order anything from Home Hardware if they are in a habit of canceling orders and taking money in advance then turning around and saying you have to pay twice to actually get it later.It's not about how much the seed cost. It's the principle of the transaction and poor record-keeping on behalf of the store. I have trust issues with places like that. I am grateful that there are plenty of other hardware stores in town to pick from instead.

I was making a ramp for my robot Vaccum. I stopped at the customer service Desk to enquire about Rubber ramps. They did not have them. I explained to her what i was trying to accomplish. She googled what i was trying to do. (Only because i think she needed a visual reference as to what i was actually trying to do) she then came up with multiple suggestions and even took me around the store to various items that i could use to create the ramp. It worked beautifully and my vacuum can now get from the living room to the kitchen. Thank-you.

Not sure if I reviewed this place before, but I meant to. This store is a great place. There may be items that they don't have but they will get them in for you. The biggest highlight is the staff. Everyone I have dealt with is a cut above. Top notch service, old school style. Like, I approached the one sales lady thinking Well

We were able to get everything we were looking for and staff were kind and courteous.

I had purchased a higher end pressure washer that I would be needing every weekend for the whole summer, it failed after the first couple uses but was past the 30 day satisfaction guarantee by 10 days.Matt listened and went above and beyond contacting the brand rep for the product and making my case for me and resolved the issue to my satisfaction quickly and easily.Thank you Matt !!!

Terrible place to work. Pay is absolutely disgusting and management is a complete joke. The store owner Doug is terrible with communicating to his employees and treating them fairly. They give sweetheart deals to people that they know personally and will start them at a higher rate then the rest of the group. I started with home hardware as a class 3 driver making $21 an hour meanwhile previous drivers were hired at $25. Pay aside when I started I genuinely enjoyed my job and what I did but it wasn't long after starting that I started having my doubts. They have a single axle flat deck truck (FL80) that should NOT legally be on the road for multiple reasons but they are planning on running it until it physically cannot run anymore. The drama is insane, almost worst then high-school itself. Doug will try to make himself big and try to intimidate you when talking to you. It's really quite disappointing seeing as there are so many model employees being underpaid and mistreated with Home Hardware. I would not recommend working here, especially as a truck driver.

Had an order reserved here, went to get it delivered today and suddenly they don't have the items in stock. How was I able to reserve it then??? The girls at the contractor desk are mostly all useless and always giving out wrong information and when you ask them why they give you an attitude. The old guy Doug that owns this place is pretty useless too so I guess like owner like employee. Will speak to my employer about transferring our account to a different store...
