Guitar Instructor

Billy is teaching my 8 year old son ukulele. He is creative and flexible to maintain his interest throughout. He allows my son to choose the music he is interested in and adapts it accordingly. Overall a very talented musician and teacher.

Billy is just amazing all around. He is great to work with and very flexible. He can take any song you want and write music to go with it based on your skill level. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend him for guitar lessons to anyone for any skill level.

I originally started taking bass lessons with Billy because I felt that I was beginning to plateau as a player, and then he helped me progress further in about 6 months than I had in the past year and a bit. Billy is a fantastic teacher with a wide range of knowledge, and a very fair rate. When I was taking lessons with him, he would routinely go above and beyond, offering to work on material for you outside of lessons to have for the next week. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a guitar or bass teacher!

Billy has been instructing my son James for the past 2 years. His teaching style is adaptable and he relates very well. The lessons are upbeat and engaging and James looks forward to them. Billy has worked well with James in person as well as virtually during the restrictions. We look forward to another excellent year with him as James's teacher.

Billy has been teaching our 9yr old for a month now and we couldn't be happier. He does an excellent job making the most out our lesson time. His approach to working one on one and building skills works well and keeps our son very engaged. The individual and unique lessons that cater to specific interests of the student is something we really like. Highly recommended!

Billy taught my daughter for six years, starting when she was 10. He is always welcoming and accommodating, making the lessons interesting and fun for her while allowing her to progress at her own pace and keeping her involved and interested as she aged and changed her tastes. She always looked forward to a lesson. He is a good-natured guy who is friendly and easy-going. He is an excellent teacher from whom she learned a lot.

I started working with Billy in the summer of 2019. Having come from Toronto I needed a new instructor to help me advance. I am an intermediate player and I have to say in the short time I have been working with Billy I have learned way more than my previous instructor. Billy has taken the time to gauge my ability and has given me new tools and strategies to work on those tunes that I want to learn - also a very patient teacher with serious chops of his own! I have had a few instructors over the years, but Billy is by far the one that has helped me the most with playing the style I am most interested in. He has influences from many genres which really make him knowledgeable and versatile as an instructor.

Billy is a phenomenal teacher. When I first started learning guitar, I felt like I was going nowhere until I started lessons with Billy. He completely changed the way I view the guitar and music. He inspired me to play everyday and learn new techniques which really improved my ability. He is a very fair and caring instructor who is also very patient and puts lots of effort in to help you in the direction you want to go with music.

Great instructor! Takes the time to teach the style of music my son enjoys and helped him learn uncommon songs he found. Makes learning fun and engaging. Highly recommend!!

Billy is a fantastic guitar teacher who really takes the time to walk you through exactly what you want to learn. As someone coming in as a more advanced student it was really nice to have someone who was willing to adapt to my level of play rather than having to go through things I was already comfortable with. On top of that the lessons are great value. I highly recommend.
