Rivercroft is one of those places you wish you had found years ago. Road entrance is very unassuming so you feel you are driving up to a private farm. That all ends when you take the first left and you are presented with multiple beautiful rustic buildings. Park your car and explore the barn and neighbouring shed, you will not be disappointed with all the amazing furniture and decorations they have, many of which are made by local artisans. We go there not just to see what the latest stock is but to just enjoy the amazing property and buildings, feels like it is out of a magazine! Love the yellow pumpkins we picked up there today!

Very nice store but the owner is just EXTREMELY RUDE what a horrible experience to go to this place.The first time, I went to purchase some pillows for my bed, she was rude but I was told before how rude she was so I was aware, I just really wanted the pillows. I went back to buy more pillows for my mother in law as a gift because she loved mine and she wasn’t nice again, and today I went and she was just out of place with the attitude she was giving us the entire time.Going to this place it’s like walking on an strangers house not a store, she actually gives you attitude if you move stuff around to see how it looks, she asked me if I was planning to purchase a pillow I put on a sofa or if I was just making a mess, also we asked to see a blanket and rolled her eyes and signing saying it was upstairs, implying it was too much what we were asking for. Don’t you even dare to change your mind, she will also get upset if you decide not to take an item at the end of the sale. Also all sales are final sale because she doesn’t want to pay 2.50 fee if she does a refund on her machine. I don’t know what’s worse her comments being out of place or her rolling eyes all the time.she definitely reminded me to a place I used to work at which had such unique products but the owner wasn’t just good with her costumers, few years later she went bankrupt, and I can see this happening to this store if she doesn’t hire someone nice to deal with her costumers, I’m sure she loses lots of sales just because the way she treats people. I’ve been there 3 times and today was definitely my last time and I’m going to tell all my friends and family to go to other stores that carry the same stuff and have better costumer service. I would give her ZERO starts if I could to be honest

We have followed this account on Instagram for a long time and were so excited to drive 2+ hours with an empty SUV ready to shop and visit. Just to be sure we called in advance to make sure they were open to the public when we planned to visit. Unfortunately- we should have read the reviews before we left. It was shocking and disappointing to be greeted so poorly the second we stepped out of the car. We couldn’t have felt more unwelcome and Unwanted. And her unkindness wasn’t reserved just for us- we had the privilege to watch her treat others the same way. They create this beautiful space - share and invite people to spend their money with you - but don’t dare take a photo. The memo was missed on customer service. I don’t care how nice your shop might be - I’m happy to spend my money on businesses who who actually like people not just their money. So if you are wise enough to read this review - before travelling - go elsewhere. It’s not the only nice shop in south western Ontario. I have travelled all over North America for design inspiration including Joanna Gaines infamous Magnolia Market in Waco Texas. If you are going for a fraction of that experience- save your time and money cause Magnolia this is not.

RUDE. hard to imagine why someone would position their store in an affluent neighbourhood in Oakville on lakeshore then complain about the people that live near by and other people that visit the store. Then have a FINAL SALE NO RETURN POLICY like they are a dollar store or liquidation world. It makes no sense. The owners interest is not to make sure her customers are happy and love the stuff they buy and that it fits their space the way they’ve hoped especially when they have $$$$. Nothing there is proved liked liquidation world, although the quality probably is. SHE DOES NOT CARE, she straight up said when people return things it cost her money so she doesn’t want to pay. I responded that there is a cost to doing business especially at a retail markup of 50% or more. Cover your expenses and don’t make it the customers burden to carry.BOTTOM LINE: spend your money where you are respected and appreciated. There’s great places to shop and this isn’t one of them. The worst part is, if you get pulled in because of the aesthetics and buy something you’re not happy with you’ll be stuck with it. Or they will make the return begrudgingly with rolling eyes and pure rudeness and disrespect. If that feels worth it, go for it. But it seems that we are all at the point of our BS detectors are on high and our standards are even higher.

I discovered Rivercroft by accident last year and it is just WOW!!! From the moment you drive up it is enchanting. They have many gorgeous and unique gift items as well. Something that is very hard to find these days. I experience Rivercroft cravings. Last year after I discovered Rivercroft I took my 80 year old mother-in-law up because I knew she would be thrilled. I was not disappointed. She loved it. It is my new favorite place to shop for household decor items and gifts.

One of my absolute FAVOURITE places to shop for unique gifts and home decor. When you walk into the Rivercroft Barn it takes your breath away. Diane and Brittany do such an amazing job decorating the store with their vintage finds and gorgeous creations. You can't help but want to buy everything. I highly recommend their soy candles. Diane is always quick to respond to my emails and inquiries and these ladies are so lovely in person. Can't say enough good things about this gem of a shop in Ontario. Worth seeing for yourself.

Went to the Rivercroft pop up in Burlington after driving by it several times. Was excited to pop in and see all the seasonal decor. The store was beautifully laid out and there are some lovely items there but the service is incredibly lacking and rude. It turns you off from the whole store. It’s really a shame. I am all about supporting small businesses vs big box stores but I will be taking my business to some favourite small shops in Burlington and Dundas where you are greeted with a smile and a hello when you walk in (a basic customer service skill that is very lacking here). Interestingly, my mother in law went a few weeks later and shared a very similar experience and I hadn’t even told her about my experience. If you want my opinion, take your business where it will be appreciated.

I purchased a custom made sectional from Britt and Diane - the whole experience was wonderful. They came to my home and gave guidance on size, layout and fabric choices taking into consideration my lifestyle and the aesthetic of my home. They gave me a timeline for production and delivery of my new sofa and came to deliver and install it as originally quoted! I have now had my sofa for over a year, I get compliments from everyone who stops in and it’s the favourite hangout for my daughter and her friends! I love popping in to see all of their new decor items!
