Landen Design Build

We hired Greg and his team to design the addition to our home, and to build the addition. We are adding over 1,000 square feet, and redoing much of the interiors as well. We are now about half-way through the process with them. We didn't pay Landen Design a penny until we got both our development and building permits, and broke ground - he never asked for a deposit or any payment until he secured plans for us and got full city approval. I have found Greg to be communicative, knowledgeable and most importantly, honest. I have heard horror stories from friends that are building and renovating homes. None of that has thus far been our experience, far from it. Greg goes out of his way to save us money, and is very up-front about how he is compensated. I really appreciate the open-approach. He has done this for 40 years, so he knows how things should work, and we rely on him to deal with the process because we trust him. I would 100% recommend.

We contracted Landen to do a major renovation of our 1995-built home. Greg and his team completely transformed our master bathroom and kitchen, gutting all the old 90s decor and (in the case of the kitchen) pushing out one of the walls 2 feet. The results were spectacular. Landen also built out a new mudroom into our oversized garage and overhauled our laundry room. It was relatively inexpensive, but very well built and looks like a million bucks. Greg also oversaw a few subcontractors he hired for some other major renos we did. The overall result was fantastic.The Landen team was professional, innovative, and hardworking. Greg always had great ideas for how to work through problems to minimize the cost while still maximizing the quality of his work. We have nothing but good to say about their work and we're already planning on using them again for a few additional renovations.

I have not yet had the privilege of working with the team at Landen on a project of my own but I have reached out to inquire about a few things in my fact finding mission in the process of building a house and I have absolutely nothing but incredible things to say about my communications with them so far. Greg took the time to not only answer my questions, but offer advice that was of incredible value and he truly took the time to help me understand exactly what it was that I was after and helped me make sense of a lot of things that previously had large question marks attached to them.I do not often write reviews, I truly only do when someone provides exceptional service and I can truly say that my experience today with Greg on the phone was exceptional.I have no doubt in my mind that I will go to Landen for any projects in the future and I highly recommend that you do as well. You will find that you are dealing with someone who is not only a straight shooter but that operates from a true place of integrity, and in my opinion, that is hard to come by these days.

We hired Greg and his team to renovate the main floor of our home. We kind of had an idea of what we wanted but his suggestions really put the finished product over the top. The cottage ceiling was gorgeous, the addition of higher baseboards and the closet organizers were a real bonus. He very successful sealed off the entrance to the basement so we were able to live through the renos with comfort and ease. We are extremely happy with this company and would highly recommend them.

After dealing with 2 other companies that consistently let us down, we luckily found Greg at Landen Designs. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with him as we moved from initial ideas to design and drawings to applying for the development permits. Greg is always there to answer any questions (and there have been plenty) and always gets back to us with answers or suggestions. And the most shocking part of all of this is he has yet to ask for any sort of payment throughout the design phase. Once we get the approvals from the county, we will be looking forward to completing this project with Greg and his team.

Working with Greg and the Landen Design team creating the design for an acessory suite for my in-laws has been a great experience. They have made it easy, supported us with the requirements for the county and gotten the information to us when we needed it. We are looking forward to the build over the summer and the grand revel in the fall.

Landen's principal, Greg Genereux, has completed several projects at our home over several years, the most recent being ceiling makeovers in November 2018 to upgrade stipple to wood finishes. The work was completed quickly, efficiently and on budget with the end result exceeding our expectations. Seemingly complex tasks were completed with relative ease and his innovative ideas and techniques saved us considerable time and money, a testament to his many years design and construction experience. Over the years I have found he excels at problem-solving and clearly outlining the various alternatives available for any given project.
