New York Bagel Cafe
We’ve been pre pandemic to NYBC and it was so lovely. Not sure what happened but they’ve seem to gone downhill. Food was good but service and atmosphere is not how I remembered it. The wait staff were pushy (trying to finish our sentences, bringing us take out boxes mid meal) and they don’t communicate with each other, and multiple times I overheard them being snippy to each other. They may benefit from more staff so they’re not so stressed out, but it didn’t seem terribly busy. Hopefully they can turn it around as I do enjoy their food!

Enjoyed the eggs Benny here for brunch! Came at 11:30 on a Saturday and the wait for food was a little long but not terrible. Food is beautifully presented and tasted great! Prices are a little higher but not outrageous. Service was friendly, too. Would come back!

My all time fav brunch in Edmonton! Good food presentation, unique east European( I think?) and antique ambience, tasty and fresh food! Love chatting with the owner, a senior couple who has been running this bistro since the 80s! However, if you are in a hurry or have other plans afterwards, better be prepared that the waiting time would be long. But if you just want to wander around and pass time on a lazy day, you won’t regret resting your feet and treating yourself here!

First time for breakfast and I wasn't disappointed!! Eggs Benny: spicy chorizo and polish smoked cheese with fruit and hashbrown potatoes. Only Con for me is that its very expensive and need to pay extra for take out container. Our servers were lovely and it was fast service.

Very cozy and beautifully decorated restaurant, feels very homey and has a great outdoor seating area. Bagels had great presentation, and tasted good. I feel like if you’re paying $20+ for a bagel platter (what is shown in the photo), I should more blown away.Definitely think it’s worth visiting at least once for the egg benedict variations, wouldn’t suggest the bagels though.

If Google had ten stars this place would get all of them. The food, the vibe and the service are all wonderful. In fact, if you lived in New York it would be worth moving to Edmonton just to be closer to the New York Bagel Cafe. Get the Limburger and grilled apple eggs Benedict.

Sure it's overpriced but it is a high end breakfast place and the food IS good. It's beautifully presented and the environment is fantastic. The menu is one of a kind for Edmonton. If you want a cheap breakfast restaurant go to Denny's. I appreciate this eclectic place with unique options.

I love the selection of Eggs Benny here! There’s something for everyone here in that regard.The atmosphere is very pleasant and easy to have personal conversation. Service is decent but could easily be improved to make this a five star experience. Overall, if you’re looking for a great boutique breakfast experience, you can’t go wrong with a visit to NYBC!

Hands down the best brunch in Edmonton. Prices are slightly higher than most other brunch places but 1000% worth it the portions are huge everything is fresh and tastes absolutely amazing. I’ve been to so many brunch places in Edmonton and this is unbeatable. If you're visiting or live in Yeg and haven’t yet tried it you need to try! As amazing as the food is the atmosphere and service is right up there!
