Was definitely disappointed by the customer service however the cheese was excellent. You definitely need to call ahead to get people that actually want to talk about cheese with you and to do a tour.

We went there to see how the cheeses are done. It's only about 5km to the east of Sylvan Lake. The tour was great and filled with lots of information. The variety of cheeses is amazing. At the end there is a cheese testing which is very good. They also have local meets in the fridges and other Dutch delights

Great selection of cheese, their Gouda is awesome. The shop alone is worth checking out but if you are with 4 people or more, make sure to book a tour! If you’re passing by on Highway 11a or 2, this is a very nice place to go and grab a coffee.

At this artisan cheese maker, you can get yourself amazing cheese for a good price. There is a great variety in flavours, and additionally the shop offers a lot of other fun artisan products. It is also possible to get a tour through the cheese room to see where your cheese comes from. All Sylvan Star cheese is made from local Albertan dairy, from a farm just down the road. This place is a true local jewel!

There are not many artisan cheese makers in Alberta. This is a must stop for real cheese. Our favourite is the truffle gouda (if you can get it).

All of the cheese that I have bought here is nothing but absolute top quality. I particularly love their 8 year old cheddar. There are so many types and flavours of cheeses there that you really need to go and visit and see for yourself. The Dutch grocery market they have there offers plenty of delights to discover and is also another great reason to visit. Lots of parking and easy access for everyone makes shopping a pleasure.

Great selection of cheese, owner took the time to give me some background on the cheese they make on site and some of the awards they have won. When you pull into the parking lot, even though there is no signage pointing you to the retail location, the glass doors slightly west of the parking lot is the retail entrance.
