Lake Country Cycle

The efficiency of the staff was great. The information on how to use the e-bike was exactly right. Not over whelming but the important stuff. The seat needed to go up a bit more and stay there. I am 5’6” and the small bike would otherwise have been great. I also love your location.

Drove in this morning from my campground ( we’re on vacation)needing a couple items and as a fairly new cyclist, some instructions for installing. This place is awesome and so are the people running the shop. Super nice. Patient. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Lake Country Cycle

We purchased a new e-bike for my wife in Oct 2020, as the store had an excellent sale. The service was reasonably good & friendly (there was 1 minor glitch). In March 2023, we couldn't get the bike to turn on after winter storage, so we booked a service appointment. Although we received an automated text confirmation the shop did not know about the appointment when my wife showed up. With some irritation, they performed quick diagnostics and told her that the battery (just several months out of warranty) was the problem and replacement would cost over $1000 and we'd have to wait a good 6 months, as backordered. This was a little unexpected, as the bike had only about 400 km use and it had been well cared for. I brought the bike to a major Kelowna bike shop and learned there was some type of electrical glitch affecting the computer screen. The bill was less than $300 and the bike was tied up for only 2 weeks.

Such a wonderful owner and amazing service! My son had a flat tire and we were headed to a biking birthday party. They got his bike in immediately, fixed it all up and even checked the breaks and tweaked them to make sure they were safe. I will be going here for all my biking needs!!! They were honest and caring, definitely a local company I will be supporting!!! Huge thanks to you all!

The service at this shop is trash. I pushed my bike with a flat tire several blocks for help and all they did was push me to buy things after explaining I don't have skills with bicycle mechanics and wouldn't be able to use them without service assistance, which they would not provide because of an insurance reason rendered irrelevant by removing the battery from my bike, nor did they lift a finger to try and help me find any other kind of help, leaving me to have to push my 60lbs bike with a completely flat tire back home up a hill.This place is probably fine if you just want to buy something, but if you need actual help, don't expect much. They just want your money.EDIT TO ADDRESS REPLY: Let's clarify; I said I needed an air pump because I didn't have one anyways. You did offered the use of the store pump, which unfortuantely availed nothing. However, that was the full extent of assistance you provided for my entire visit. You otherwise offered two bike tubes that MIGHT work, even after I explained I don't have the technical skills to install them, and I certainly didn't have the tools or facility to affect a repair, and then proceeded to mostly ignore me for other customers that came in after me and let me flounder with my lack of options, offering no assistance, advise or anything, even after those customers were on their way.So, even if you object to it being called pushing product"

We stopped by and got bikes for the rail trail. We were greeted and sized right away by a very nice woman and man and organized quickly for our bikes !!We biked 50km and were late coming back. The woman was really nice about it and checked us out. Thank you, we had a great time and sorry again for being late for drop off!!Highly recommend this place :)

We had a wonderful day cycling around Wood Lake!! The cycles we rented from Lake Country Cycle were amazing! We rented two ebikes and four pedal bikes and had a blast sharing! Pat and Rodney/Ronny (sorry I missed catching your name) were so friendly and helpful!

Would not support this business!!Awful customer service! We dealt directly with the owner who was rude and uncompromising. It was pouring rain so we were hoping to change our reservation for 4 e-bikes for another day but he wouldn’t help us out and continued to claim it’s “policy to charge us a cancellation fee”!! He created the cancellation fee policy to scam people out of money while not providing anything in return. We were charged $70 to not use the e-bikes due to weather conditions!! When I told him I would spread the word about how he does business he threatened to keep more of our money because he could! This is bad business and I encourage you to rent bikes from anyone else rather than supporting this thief.
