They used to be good. But they will overcharge you on parts by 3-4X. Got quoted parts prices to replace Hub/Bearing assemblies at $750 per hub, when even the most expensive hubs are $450 at Napa. Bought decent ones for $150 from Rock Auto and got them installed by another mechanic and replaced all four hubs/wheel bearings for a similar price that they had quoted me to install one.

Took our car into another place and told them we thought it was the wheel bearing, they did a diagnostic and said it wasn’t the bearings it was a bunch of other issues and the total repairs would come to 2400 bucks! I took that estimate to hunters and they ordered all the parts and set up an appointment. After a day at the shop they told me that they didn’t need to do most of what the other place said was wrong and that it WAS JUST THE BEARING THAT NEEDED REPLACING! After all that money stress it came to 1/5th of what we thought we would be paying. They are good, they fix what’s broken and don’t try to gouge you with other stuff. This is how they’ve dealt with us the last 3 times we’ve taken in our car. Give them your business, your wallet will thank you.

This auto shop managed to take time out of a booked up schedule to check out my car and give me a professional opinion in a what could have been a potentially dangerous situation. Their feedback was extremely appreciated and I wouldn’t hesitate to take my car to them again. Thank you guys!

Had hunters do some work on my truck, that was all fine but a week or so after being in the shop my wheel literally came of my truck while I was driving. I wasn’t in Squamish at the time and when I phoned they were apologetic and paid a local garage that I had had the truck towed to to fix the damage to my brakes/studs etc.However, my wheel was also damaged and despite them taking ownership that the whole issue was there fault they have not sorted a replacement for the wheel that was damaged due to there error. They are now ignoring my emails and phone calls, so be aware that although this garage seems to do okay work, if if something goes wrong they’ll ignore your calls and leave you out of pocket. Very disappointed.

Came here as my van, just fixed a week ago, sprang another leak in the coolant. Sonny helped me right there and then, fixing what the other mechanic missed and sent me on my way. Just super nice. And super professional. I am happy people like him exist.

Highly recommend, we have only ever had positive, helpful and successful repair experiences at Hunters. They are easy to get ahold of, flexible and happy to help, and their work is trustworthy and reliable.

Great service but long wait for an appointment same as every other shop in town.they put a clutch in my ranger for a fair price and helped me out with a couple other minor things.

I just had a brake job/service at Hunters, and overall it was a very positive experience. They gave me a lift home, and picked me up after the service was complete, and they did an excellent job on the repairs. They are also very reasonable when it comes to writing up an invoice, which is something I have never experienced with any other mechanic. I highly recommend Hunters Automotive, they are great.

Top notch service. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Took my older car in, I didn’t want to spend a lot. They were able to get it running again for a low cost. Would recommend bringing your car here!
