5 star for the service, the price for the room you get The staff is kind, considerate and fair. You will not be ripped off or swindled in anyway. Very honest and helpful.The rooms are clean. Dog friendly. The kitchen's are clean. You wont find such accommodating rooms anywhere else!

A good solid place that is on the older side but impeccably clean. A great deal of pride goes into these rooms. The only thing was the couch was so hard it was laughable. Bed was perfect which was all I needed. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

Located in beautiful Lake Cowichan. Reasonable rates that reflect the level of accommodation. Basic no frills and we are quite happy with that!The property is 'dated' but very clean. The suites are spacious and have a kitchen. We like the ground floor suites with patio. Pet friendly. Very convenient for us when visiting family and close to all amenities.

The bedding smelled like dirt. The room was nice enough. The mattress was old and uncomfortable.

An entire suite of rooms, and dogs are welcome! I was pleasantly surprised to get a room almost as big as my apartment, with kitchenette and separate bedroom. Clean as a pet-friendly room can be, and quiet for sleeping. Excellent value for money. $15 pet fee.

We would stay there so we can see the family for the past 6 years, but my husband visited and stayed there for the past 10 years. On my first stay my prescription glasses went missing, on next it was my deodorant, then towel.. and it's always: we haven't seen anything." Rooms are cold af. If before we saw extra blankets

Older motel that is slightly run down. But overall we enjoyed our stay. Very clean throughout and big rooms. We were surprised to have a separate living room and kitchenette, also lots of closet space. Best of all it was incredibly quiet. I would stay again.

We arrived in the late evening and were faced with an extensive marihuana smell in front of the motel. Front desk was not manned. We had to call the front desk number displayed on a sign. Shortly after, the receptionist came down the stairs. He tried to avoid eye contact and seemed to be intoxicated (I am pretty sure he was stoned). After filling out some forms with information we already gave upon online reservation, we got the keys.The carpet of our room had multiple stains and there was dirt under the beside table. The faucet in the living room dripped the whole night. Their shower curtain was dirty and there was no hair dryer. Furthermore there was no warm water left after showering a couple minutes. Unfortunately in the morning the front desk wasn’t staffed again. We checked out by putting our keys in the drop-off box and weren’t able to give feedback.

Stopped to help a couple whose vehicle was broken down. They were waiting to get towed and were driving toward Port Renfrew. They needed a new axle on their truck and wouldn't be able to make it to Cowichan Lodge. They had no cell service and asked us if we could call and explain to the lodge what was happening and that they wouldn't make it for their reservation. When we got service we called and explained this couple's situation, first the guy at the lodge asked why we didn't stop to help this couple(this is exactly what we had done) then stated that he couldn't issue any refunds and didn't want to deal with this." After which he hung up on us. I was appalled at the lack of understanding and kindness we received. 10/10 would not recommend
