We were on an ice cream run - they have the elusive rum and raisin! Fun step into an old way of doing business. Cash only so stop by an ATM.

Lucy and Allan are the greatest. We never pass the store without stopping and getting some fantastic ice cream. There are always some little tresur3s you can only find at their store. All my hanging baskets are also from here. Every year on mothers Day, we get icecream and hanging baskets. Love the service and family atmosphere.

Wonderful place to visit a real old fashioned general store where you can buy almost anything. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the icecream comes are massive and so many flavors. And in the spring the flowers you can buy for your garden are beautiful definitely a place you should go and see .

Worth the trip to check out this vintage general store with post office. Best part, they are FAMOUS for their generous servings of ICE CREAM. It's on the Ice Cream Trail, and worth the trip. We made several visits, summer 2019. (FYI - those are 'smalls' in the photo!)

5 Stars for Quaintness and Nostalgia! I've only had ice cream here, which it seems to be well known for and served in VERY generous portions, but my sister-in-law found a great selection of fly-swatters which apparently can't be found in Guelph this year, and my brother informed me Holyrood General has the oldest/longest running (?) Post Office in Canada. Whether it is or isn't, if you're driving the back country roads, stop in for an ice cream and a little Canadian nostalgia.

This store is truly one of a kind, with great sentimental value. To walk into this store is to take a step back in time. The rustic feel as well as the courtesy of the shop keeper. If you come from a small town or township. This place will feel like home. The store varies from food, to hardware, to ice cream, to much much more. So if you are on the road and are in need, this is the place. Oh and by the way $3 gets you a huge ice cream. And its considered a regular size. 15 plus flavors to choose from, have fun.
