By far the absolute best place to get a haircut. I brought my 10 month old son here twice so far and Yaw was absolutely amazing with him both times. So patient, friendly and welcoming.Highly recommend!

I was supposed to attend the wedding and we made a phone call to let them know that several guys from the wedding we're coming first thing in the morning to get their haircut. Although the arrangement was made and double checked the day before no one showed up in the morning and had us out waiting 1 hour until we gave up and had to leave. Extreme disrespect by the business has even our phone calls and our messages were never answered after. I came back to the barbershop as I desperately needed a haircut the following week and also I wanted to have a word with the owner but after receiving the best haircut I've ever had in probably all of Canada I had to keep my mouth shut because what can I complain about. I took my hat to these guys they got something great going on here and this side of Canada

Barber culture in st John's has exploded in the last 5 years but 1949 comes out on top. The cuts here are wild. You walk out feeling so good about the way you look every time. I usually go to Amr, he is an artist, but everybody there knows the craft. Refuse to go anywhere else.
