Taste of The Grille
I've been here twice now, and both times I've had great food and great service. First time I had the jerk pork, and the second time I had the daily special which was Korean ribs and Mac & cheese.Every time I go up to Friday Harbour now on, I will try to pop by because the food is well worth it and the owners are lovely people. I highly recommend it!

Taste of The Grille
Went there for the first time for a lunch date with my wife. Georgette owns the restaurant with her hubby Jason , lovely people. Never tried Jamaican food before , sampled a piece of Ox tail and that ended up being my lunch order . The food was amazing , truly loved it. My wife had no the jerk chicken on pasta , delicious . If you enjoy good food and friendly vibes , I would highly recommend it .

This review is long over due but must be done! We ordered from Taste of the Grille for a New Years event with our church and everything was amazing. The owner helped me select a menu that would be suitable for the amount of people we were serving, they were so patient with me and took their time explaining all different options.On the day of, the food was hot and fresh. Everyone loved the food! True Caribbean flavours.The inside of this restaurant is clean and well kept. The decor gives peaceful and tropical vibes.We moved to Barrie from the city and immediately tried every Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant in Barrie/Innisfil and this one comes out on top! Most authentic and fresh tasting food.

My fiancé and baby had the opportunity of dining in. I was highly impressed. The space is stunning. It’s beautifully decorated! We had the jerk chicken and jerk pork plates ($13 small, $16 large). The meals came with white rice or rice and peas plus coleslaw or garden salad. We opted to substitute one of sides for Mac and cheese so we could try it as we heard good things about it. All in all we tried: jerk chicken, jerk pork, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, garden salad, and coleslaw. The meals were phenomenal. As soon as the meals arrived they smelled like Jamaica! No word of a lie. I was shocked! Let me preface this by saying I was born in Jamaica, raised in Toronto. I grew up on Jamaican food and this place was the most authentic Jamaican food I’ve had in Canada, apart from meals prepared by my family. Now the portions aren’t big but they were appropriate. We still had left overs to take home.It was very clean inside! And such a great location. It’s right by the water. They have a patio I can’t wait to visit in the summer.The staff members were so pleasant. It was such a delight! I will be going back and I highly recommend

Food, service, atmosphere, and location are all amazing. Absolutely great tasting food. Has vegetarian options as well. Will definitely go again and again and again. A real hidden gem.

Absolutely incredible food, had the oxtail and Ms. D's rum punch. Service was amazing and friendly, patio was gorgeous and clean. 110% would go back next time in the neighbourhood.Thank you for a great meal and a great experience! Oh, and get the festivals, they're delicious.

Absolutely fantastic. My husband and I both had a pretty rough day and weren't up for cooking, so we decided to finally try this local spot just around the corner from us.Best decision ever.Friendly service, huge portions, and a beautiful ambiance.We were too drained to actually dine in, and got our food as take out. The cute beach across the road is where we hung out for the little time it took for our food to be ready to go.We had the jerk pork with penne (the sauce was decadently delicious and the pork was nice and moist), chicken wings (a big hit with my husband...I didn't even get one!), fried plantain, and rich oxtail with fluffy peas n rice.The festivals were crunchy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside.Lovely, delicate flavour and excellent presentation.I wish we had ordered more.A new fave in our house 100%.All I can say is that we will definitely enjoy Taste of The Grille again in the near future.

Taste of The Grille
Just tried Taste of the Grille for the first time. She had grilled shrimp on a salad, and I had cheese burger with fries. The side of cooked plantain were delicious. Its a great little family owned non-chain diner with some nice tropical drinks. They have a small little patio within view of the lake across the street. Try their home made funnel cake for dessert!

I decided to stop by this local restaurant for a meal.I ordered the small jerk plate dinner.While eating my lunch, I noticed that the chicken had looked uncooked( pink colours throughout)The manager was called, and said the chicken was smoked , that’s how it appears and it is cooked.When I enjoy my food, not only is the taste important, but so is the appearance of food.I asked for a replacement chicken, so I could bring it home and cook it until the chicken is all white.I was then charged for the plate of chicken which I barely ate, and also charged for the replacement.Clearly, if they want happy customers to return, customer service is very important. I should not have paid for the replacement.I was not impressed with the customer service and the appearance of my chicken. I will never return to this restaurant.
