D.G. Hopkins Painting, LLC

My house needed some TLC. The crew did a lot of prep work including siding repairs, caulking and sanding. Now everyone says my house looks brand new. I would recommend D G Hopkins to anyone who is looking for a great paint job.

Don Hopkins and his family (Nancy, Forrest and Paul) painted all the soffits and trim on our recently purchased 25-year-old home on Camano Island in July/August of 2017 (we moved to the island less than two years ago). The painting was long overdue and sorely needed, and several large wooden trim boards as well as one of the four columns on our front porch were badly rotted and needed repair or replacement, as well. We are totally satisfied with the Hopkins family and the quality of the work they did for us. They were extremely personable and professional, starting with the initial evaluation and estimate, all the way through to the end of the project. They spent extra time in order to perfectly match the color of our trim. They discovered problems with the old paint that were not apparent to us, and carefully researched each new challenge with paint manufacturers and other experts to find the best solution to every problem they encountered in our home. Since Don and his brother have also been restoring old homes for many years, they were able to fix each problem themselves, rather than having to call in other experts to do the job. Our home now looks just like new, and we are confident that we won't have to worry about needing to repaint our trim or soffits for many years to come. And when the time comes for the siding on our home or the indoor walls to be repainted, we will not hesitate to ask Don and his family to do the job for us. The Hopkins family is such a wonderful part of our community, and we can highly recommend them to anyone with even the most challenging house painting problem.

Alright. We dealt with two other companies, not sure if I'm allowed to bring up their names, but oh my gosh they were a horrible mistake. They had decent reviews but it was so wrong, they tried upselling us on materials, and one of them didn't abide by their warranty. DG has been such an outlier and a blessing--Nancy helped us with colors, and Don and the crew made sure we loved everything before they left. They were tremendous, and I highly recommend them to anyone.
