Let me tell you about Graham Goodall and Midtown Tech. I am technologically backwards. He could have taken full advantage. Could have tried to talk me into, sell me, all kind of thing. But you know what he did instead? He said: I don’t think you need that; rather, this… Why do you want that thing? How are you going to use it? Maybe this would be a better choice? He was Uber human and kind and I just cannot recommend a better option. He and his staff are trustworthy in an untrustworthy world. I recommend.

These guys were amazing! Quality service and honest! Speedy too. They had the items I need in stock as well. The only thing was they said it would be max 2 1/2h and I waited around for them to finish and then at 1h and 30min they told me it was going to be a tomorrow pick up. However I feel like this wasn’t their fault but my computers. Super accommodating with there timelines. I’m very very please with the service and I would recommend.

Just picked up my Airmac repaired and back to its duties. A stressful venture of misfortune to require work done, soon to feel confident and assured I was at the right place. This was our go-to for Mac repairs but recently their service was appalling. They recommended we purchase a new screen on eBay, which we did and had delivered to them and it didn’t fix the problem. We were unable to return the screen to the eBay seller. The eBay seller suggested the problem could be the logic board and midtown tech said it wasn’t. They were hard to get hold of, granted it was “the holidays”, but they were also not very helpful in diagnosing or recommending repairs. Their communication about the problem was poor. They don’t answer emails, or even check their emails. The guy returning calls had never seen our emails and had no information to relay to us. He had to find out from the tech and call us back. Very unprofessional service. They caused us to spend extra money we didn’t need to and it took weeks to get the laptop back from them. We eventually we took the laptop elsewhere. GTA Mac Repair fixed it within 5 days with the correct diagnosis the first time around, and turns out it was the logic board after all. The laptop now works great, no thanks to Midtown Tech. ***updating after response from owner: Midtown Tech misdiagnosed the problem. The part they told us we needed to purchase was not faulty. The fault was with the computer’s logic board. We never needed the part they told us to purchase. Removing one star for poor response.

A friend was in Europe facing an emergency situation and needed to reset the login password for a MacBook. With my friend on FaceTime on my phone, Midtown patiently guided her through the steps to get this done. Crisis averted! Thank-you Midtown!

Midtown Tech is one of the few places that is still treating COVID as it should be - masks are required, and curbside pick up only. Others may give them a hard time about this, but it is truly appreciated by those that are looking for shops that are going above and beyond to help prevent the spread of COVID.I brought in the latest MacBook M2 Air for some damage, and I thought it wouldn't be covered by warranty. To my surprise, Graham and his team were able to repair it under warranty. However, because it was the newest model there were some delays - first, in getting the tools to be able to open the computer, then to actually get the parts. In the end, because of the time it took and the parts that needed to be replaced, Graham gave us a discount on the back up/restore of the computer, and due to a part shortage it was able to be upgraded to a larger hard drive and ram for free! Once the parts came in, the computer was quickly repaired. The entire time Graham kept me updated about the repair. Would definitely come back to Midtown Tech for any repairs in the future.

Midtown tech was great. Graham was super responsive and took the time to walk me through the various repair options, and not to mention some extra pearls of wisdom on how to maximize different subscriptions. Once we decided on the route, they worked fast to get me all set up again within days. He even waived a fee given the kind of issue I had was straight forward. A pleasure dealing with Graham and his team.

Midtown Tech was a life saver!! My 2015 mac was barely functional and I did NOT want to buy a brand new laptop. Graham offered me the perfect solution by replacing my hard drive on my current laptop, and backing up all my files to an external hard drive. It now works great and saved me over $1000!
