Turning Point Children’s Therapy and Development Centre

One important thing I would like to mention about Turning Point is about their strategies and organization model.They don't onboard just any therapist to engage with our child, they seem to hand pick the best therapist, train them well and keep them happy, only then they could make the good progress that we expect from our child.Turning Point Directors Gopika Menon and Sivajini Sivalingam (Jini) are highly professional, child focused, and highly personable. They have excellent Therapists and mentored them so well that they can be fully trusted to see development growth for your children.We started with Turning Point for our son initially and we were very much satisfied with the progress he has made through them, but then we had to move to another centre locally to save commute time and that was the worst decision we ever made.We realized how child focused Turning Point was only after we moved out, and we are with Turning Point again and very satisfying with the progress they are making for our son.Children's Therapy Service providers shouldn't be just business minded, this is one of the important factors everyone should examine before making the decision. And for that I highly recommend Turning Point if anyone is looking for children's therapy service.

I had the pleasure to do my last placement with Turning Point Children’s Therapy and Development Centre. In this centre, the therapists are fantastic and very professional. The coordinator is the best sponsor educator for placement students. She supported me with all my assignments and provided me with constructive feedback. Also, all my placement paperwork was completed beforehand.

My experience at Turning Point was, and still is, great! As a placement student, all the therapists and supervisors were awesome at answering all my questions and allowing me to get involved with the children. They were all engaged in me learning as much as I could. After graduation, I got hired as an Instructor Therapist and still love everything about it! Everyone at the centre knows each and every child in a great level and adapts every step of the session to the childs needs. Couldn't recommend it more!

Our son has been attending Turning Point for over 5 years. We always feel that he is the centre of everything that they do. Gopika and the Turning Point team are always available. Their care and attention to his IBI program has played a key role in overcoming some of the challenges he has faced as an autistic child. We highly recommend the Turning Point team to your to pick to support your child's growth and development.

Turning Point was my first placement centre and it helped me to experience the first footstep in the field. The supervisor and the staff were supportive and provide guidance in the effective development of skills. Proper guidance, constant feedback and corrections were the positive aspect of the centre. I had received opportunities to observe and practice different programs and activities based on ABA. Also, I had the chance to assist Occupational Therapy, which is also an integral part of Turning Point. Commitment and quality of service are the remarkable elements of Turning Point. At Turning Point each day was a new learning for me.

We would highly recommend Turning Point. Our 4 year old had behavioural issues in JK and after meeting Gopika we finally felt there was hope and support for our son. He has been doing IBI therapy and we have seen a huge improvement. It’s now been almost 1.5 yrs but we could see a difference in a few months time.The entire team at TP has been kind & competent. Communication has been great, we get a report after each session and a verbal update at each pick up. We can see our son’s progress through testing as well... but mostly we see a huge difference at home and at school. TP has also shared many strategies we can use to support/be consistent at home.Our son has had a few therapists; usually sticking to the same two therapists on average. This has worked well for follow-up and consistency over time. He is very comfortable with each one and they have all been very professional, friendly, and equipped/trained to deal with young kids with behavioural challenges. Especially at the beginning when our son was especially challenging -- they had clear strategies that they stuck with and it was so nice to have the confidence to leave our son for his session knowing they could handle anything... which was not the case at school.TP has also gone over and above in communicating with our son's school to make sure they can also implement strategies that will set him up for success at school. The IBI sessions have not only benefited him in terms of his behaviour, but the work they do has helped advance his math and reading skills as well.If you are looking for results & a place that truly has your child’s best interest at heart, look no further.

We were with Turning Point for many years from age 4 to 7 up until we moved out of town. My child has made tremendous growth from his time there; from non verbal to single word labels and up to short sentences! It was a hard road for all of us to get on the same page, (especially with my sons emotional rollercoaster moods and hyper tantrums) but I knew no matter the differences we had, the entire team always had my child's interests at heart. They would accommodate his needs, his emotional state and his extreme hyperactivity and tailor the programs to suit him. Their work ethic is superb and we truly miss working with them. If I had any concerns I was always welcomed to talk to them and they listened and allowed for change in a program to benefit my child. Lastly, Gopika, Jini and the entire therapist team always treated my son with compassion and like he was part of the family. I always felt safe sending him there and I knew he was in good capable hands. Thank you guys!

My son have been attending Turning Point for close to a year now for IBI therapy and I will say that was one of our best decisions in 2020.I particularly like the support the team in TP provide especially in informing and involving parents on strategies that will assist my son reach his fullest potential.My son has significantly improved and I can only thank the therapist and management of Turning Point for putting my son's interest first and for their great work. I will totally recommend TP to any parent.

My son has been going to Turning Point for about 2 years. Since he has started the ABA therapy, he has improved in his speech, social skills, behavior, independence, and confidence. I am very thankful, satisfied and appreciative to Mrs. Gopika, Felicia and their whole team for supporting, helping, and putting their effort for my son's growth and development. Extremely professional and sufficiently managed organization. not knowing much about the therapy we were very concerned at the beginning, a couple of months later we would not hesitate to recommend turning point to any one.
