Unreliable, glib with prices, couldn't be bothered inspecting the locks

Called up Toronto locksmith and they sent someone from C &A locksmith and Doors to repair my front door lock. The job was performed at an outstanding price of $1754.89 to replace a front door cylinder lock. I did not know better until I contacted other locksmiths that the price should have been in the $300 to $500 range in price. The job took less than 40 minutes to complete, so I figure the “technician” was paid over $1200 an hour to change a lock that I could have done myself. I have asked for a detailed receipt so I ca see exactly why I was charged so much and am filing with the BBB as well. I also have the technicians email and license plate number on record too. On the good side, my front door works perfectly, that’s the only good news of dealing with C&A locksmith and doors.If this matter is taken care of by the company, I will change my rating and apologize for my writing.Very upset and angry customer!

I ended up being charged over $2000 for a job which should have cost $500. Lock broke again within a short time. C and A refused to return to fix without $125 service fee, just for starters. Unethical and poor workmanship. I warn anyone to stay away from this company!

Very bad service, I called them for emergency door lock change and they took long time to show they didn’t tell me how much it will cost until the technician showed up at my door, I paid $2400 for their service. After 10 days the main door was not locking. I called them and they kept telling me that someone will call me now, but no one called.I kept calling them and telling them I really need to leave the house and I can’t do that if the door doesn’t lock!I’m so frustrated and I had to cancel my work.

Tried to charge $3,500.00+tax to replace a multi point front door lock. From the supplier installed was $600.00. He took a $1,000.00 deposit and thankfully I was able to dispute with Visa to get a refund.

Don't believe the 5 star reviews, shrills. I called and asked if they could Service Two closers on my small fourplex apartment building in South ScarboroughThey said they could get there within a couple of hours but I had to be there they couldn't look at itWithout me being there, seems odd just contact the tenant and let me know the cost. AnyhowI left my dinner to go meet the guy. He says $650 2 for closers I say no way when he realized it's not going to be a sale he immediately drops the price to $450. I tell him forget it and he insists on $75 service charge by cc. Just looking for fair and reasonable price. Call your local locksmith instead.

Don’t use these guys ….total rip off …here 17 minutes and tried to charge me $559.30 ….he replaced 1 screw in the door….their game is to tell you on the phone that it’s a 45.00 service call which I agreed to …then they try to take you to the cleaner after 17 min and 1…3/4 inch screw.This company is bad don’t use them and if you do be prepared to be ripped off.
