Samurai Flooring provided us with exception client service and support, from the time we entered there flooring showroom to the last coat of matt finishing on our restored Oak and Fir flooring. Niki was wonderful to work with from product selection to application. Sonny’s on site consultation and his ability to rise up to the challenge of working on our 1905 Uphill Nelson home ......was simply Stellar! The flooring project had many issues and complications simply due to the age of our home.....it was no easy task...even for the highly experienced crew of Samurai. (Cory, Luke, Peter, Craig). We are so happy with end result of our floors ...several weeks later, we still look in amazement of the finished detail of these floors. Samurai Flooring is our go to for flooring in the West Kootenay.

Amazing! The Samurai team made me so happy. Not only were they helpful, professional, and timely (some traits hard to find here in the Kootenays) but they totally transformed my old hardwood floors into something new and absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Samurai!

Right from the very first call to Samurai, our experience has been fantastic. Communication - excellent. Sunny and Bre arrived to measure and we received our quote in the time promised. Appreciated the suggestion on moving a vent. Bre always available to answer any questions. We have 80+ year old fir floors that we decided to have Samurai restore. Corey and Malachi arrived on the dates we had booked, ready to get to work and they worked hard and were always on time and provided great communication and input during the process. A pleasure to have such a professional approach all throughout. Highly recommend Samurai for floor restoration.

Samurai have been awesome to deal with from beginning to end - Niki is lovely and provides excellent customer service and product knowledge. Sunny and his crew are professional, punctual and provided a top quality final product. We used Samurai for a complicated herringbone floor and we couldn't be happier with the result. They were friendly and left the place spotless. We absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to shop locally!

The team at Samurai did any amazing job on our pre-finished birch floors that had yellowed over the years. The newly finished floors are stunning and I love how smooth they are with no more bevels between boards. The colour variation is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier! The team was on time, efficient, clean and obviously knew what they were doing. Thank you so much for completely changing our main floor!

Very poor communication. Often do not answer emails or very slow in doing so. They did my kitchen and I was mostly happy with the work. Then I decided to do my living room. Then came COVID. There were a couple of cancellations due to staff having to go overseas and I don’t remember the other reason. I tried to be patient and I was. Then I thought I had an appointment in August that didn’t happen and I believe it was due to a communication issue again. They just don’t answer often. So they set an appointment for September which was disappointing because I was supposed to leave the country by then. I reached out to two other people offering services - one recently and one months ago! I would not have frankly, but these guys had not proved to be very dependable! I was curious about what the others had to offer. Samurai saw my asks on FB. They accused me of planning to cancel at the last minute with them! Why would I do that and why assume before you even talk to your customer! THEY are the ones who canceled last minute! But apparently it’s ok if it’s them. It’s honestly bizarre. This behaviour is so unprofessional! I’ve never in my many years encountered this poor business practice!The owner is gruff and nasty and has zero patience or people skills!We spent hours removing nails while we waited for our appointment. Apparently removing nails would cost me extra and make the job more difficult if they did it but removing them ourselves did nothing to adjust the price.And yes I had to postpone once or twice due to COVID and illness but apparently no big deal as they are EXTREMELY busy. They are actually doing YOU a favour by performing a service! Lol.Anyone who has actually worked for me will tell you I’m fair, I’m patient, I pay immediately.Perhaps things have changed but in my day talking to other businesses for information or even to go with a better deal was normal practice. I have to assume this business wants the monopoly while constantly complaining about how busy they are! I suspect they take down any negative reviews because no business is perfect and these folks are certainly not. Not members with BBB and now I know why! Look elsewhere!
