Bay Meadows Park

I would give a zero if I could. I was in contact with the park manager over a two week period. My husband and I had sold our house in Ottawa and were looking for an all season trailer. We were very happy to hear that there were a couple of units available and were excited to start this part of our life as empty nesters. Never wasI asked my age or who would be living with me. We drove all the way from Ottawa to Belleville just to view the units and had planned to purchase one. Upon arrival we were asked if we met the age requirement. I laughed thinking she was joking only to find out she wasn’t. My husband turns 50 next week and I will be 50 in January.She said that was “cutting it close” but she would show us the units anyways. We had asked to see the 2 bedroom unit but were taken to a one bedroom. It was here that we learned that our 20 year old daughter, who is a nursing student and would be with us for the summers, would not be permitted to stay with us! I was absolutely appalled! I never dreamed that in my lifetime I would be a victim of ageism! Also, to not allow a nursing student to stay with her parents is horrible business. Especially, when 2 steps away are seasonal trailers that can have all age of children during the summer.I tried emailing the management but no one ever got back to me so I’m taking to social media so no one else goes through this!

I provide mobile foot care to some of the residents. It is a beautiful park with even more beautiful people. Love visiting here..

Management are very helpful. Great place to relax and catch up with good friends (once things reopen).

My husband and I are writing this review as the Baymeadows Park manager did not deal ethically with us and withheld information from us that resulted in a loss of resort fees owing us for half of the year. She was the agent for the sale of our trailer due to health reasons and despite repeated queries as to Park policy regarding reimbursement of prepaid resort fees in the event of sale of our trailer, the Baymeadows Park manager said she didn’t know and would get back to us. She finally told us that we would get a refund of prepaid expenses owing us. She wrote up the sale to close July 1. Later when we went in to the office she did an about face and told us prepaid resort fees were the sellers' responsibility after June 30. When we brought this up with the General Manager of Linwood Parks, we were told that the Baymeadows Park manager had known all along that the park policy does not refund prepaid resort fees after June 30. We were further told that it was a case of believing the park manager over us and that the fees in question were merely the $48 prepaid hydro fees. This despite proven record through direct email that the fees in question pertained to resort fees and corroborating our version of the facts. There was clearly a conflict of interest here and they apparently chose to sell the trailer with an attractive prepaid expense for the bulk of the season by withholding information from us even though we had paid a 10% commission to them to represent us in the sale. After all of this cleared, the response from the Baymeadows Park manager was “sorry, I wasn’t as clear as I should have been”. Small recompense for a $1,000 loss. We are writing this to warn people to be careful with any business dealings with the Baymeadows Park manager or any Parks under the Linwood Parks umbrella or Linwood Management Corporation. We have the written proof by an email trail and could likely take this to small claims court. It likely is not worth the bother but we do believe people should be held accountable for unethical business dealings. We are not alone in this complaint as there is a litany of complaints against Linwood Management and a 1/5 rating from previous similar unethical practices. When we attempted to reach the Owner of Linwood Management Corporation, we were told by the office that they are not permitted to divulge his/her contact info. This lack of transparency and accountability appears to stem from the top management. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as this company and the Baymeadows Park manager should not be in business, or at the least be made to rectify their unethical business dealings, as they are hurting innocent people.Myra Bourne and Ray Hirvonen

Beautiful park. Great management. Nice lots. Just wish they had a lift for wheelchairs so you could get upstairs to the hall where a lot of the events are

Good for over night stays or seasonal. Would be better with water access. We took our kayak and were not able to put it in the water at the park. There is a very nice salt water heated pool. People in the park are very nice and invited us to a corn roast. It was amazing food. Nice and friendly place to stay with lots of area attractions to visit.

I was doing a service call for a resident today but brought back memories from an awesome week I sent here with the family a couple of years ago . Great place to visit.

It is a trailer park. Lovely site. Salt water swimming pool. Good walking and exploring in Prince Edward County from a base. Wineries. Stained glass, ceramic and many other art media.

When we were the Park itself was great. The people and residents are wonderful. The management are not the right fit to mange the park. Done very shady practices going on in regards to money and pocketing what is not correct. We are in the military and have been posted out of Trenton, and we had to get our trailer out in mid March, it was all winterized as of October 15th, 2021, all unplugged and stored away in a complete cover as it was a new trailer. We had prepaid 1/3 for the 2022 year, when we went to ask for a refund, minus a winter storage fee ($250.00), we were told oh we used hydro of $1,000.00 from October 15th to March 8th. It was plugged in! How did we use any Hydro? SCAM. Lots of issues within the park with the permanent residents dealing with the managers. Sad as they ruined our whole outlook and time we did have there.
