The subway station for lane 1 subway trains. It is a very clean and peaceful place. There is some presto reload kiosks are also available. The trains come on time. Near this, there are many shopping malls are available. Overall this station is peaceful.

What’s the point of paying to have someone in the booth if they just sit there doing absolutely nothing? Very disappointed. Tried to break a bill for fair and the guy told me to go out and find somewhere to break it at 12 am. Lazy union worker. I’m actually livid, what an actually waste of space. Could turn the booth into art work or something as it servers no purpose.

They have blocked off access to the library from the mall, you now have to walk around through another set of doors that are not even accessible. Now they expect library customers to wait outside in the cold for their holds pick up. Yet another mall that does not care about persons with disabilities.

Easy access to mall, but navigation really sucks, especially when it comes to accessibility elevators.Train drivers usually close doors almost instantly on this station, so I take away couple of stars for this.

2019 this station is still the same. In fact it's progressively getting worse. There is a panhandler at almost every exit or entrance. Today there was a huge pile of tissue paper at one of the entrances. TTC I am not sure who cleans these stations but they are doing a pathetic job. The glass inserts to the doors have been shattered once already. People run through those plastic presto gates, or kids jump over them so easily. Overall I still give it a 1 out of 5 rating. I highly doubt any major changes will come to this station. Why does this station attract so many pan handlers! There is a new one every week. Station still looks the same, they added some grey paint, looks like left overs. Glass inserts to the doors leading to Rexall still break every year for a week we had CAUTION TAPE AROUND the handles. This station is so ghetto and dirty. There is always water leaking on the platform and I'm not sure why the ceiling on the platform has some patches left open.I wrote a review last year. Nothing much has changed, for the past 20 years that I've been using this station. Aside from the new presto gates, everything else is the same, dingy, dirty and dated. The floors are dirty, the lighting is bad, the platform is so old and dated, needs new tiles or a revamp. Lots of panhandlers at the doors leading to Loblaws.Old review: It needs some work, like all the other TTC stations. There is always water leaking and they put these levees making it look so dirty. Lots of pan handlers at varied times of the day. The doors leading up the building and Rexall are perpetually broken every year the glass shatters b/c of they high winds.

Very interesting history to this station, when Line 1 was extended to Finch in the 70's, they wanted each station to be 1km apart, with spots to put in future stations when the need arises, basically, between all the stations north of Eglinton, there will be a point where the tunnel just levels out for no reason, those are the reserved expansion points, and North York Centre was the only time a station was ever added to one of these points. You can tell to, the divider between the tracks is very much like the walls of the tunnel, with thick walls and small cut outs every so often. Very cool history, very cool location

Small station with just one person on duty. It’s never really crowded so it’s one of the more peaceful subway stops. There are quite a few presto kiosks available so you can charge or even buy cards. This place is directly connected to the Empress Walk mall as well as the North York center which has the library, a food court and several businesses. Only thing this stop needs is a little facelift. Overall, pretty great.
