Top notch facility. Huge mat area, fully equipped weight gym, showers, pretty much everything you can ask for in a fitness/martial arts facility. The cleanest gym in Calgary. Instructors are knowledgeable and always willing to help the students. I can’t recommend them enough. You have to give it a shot if you are serious about starting your martial arts journey.

Probably the most aesthetically pleasing BJJ gym in all of Calgary! You won’t be disappointed walking in to this pristine gym-it’s beautiful! When it comes to BJJ instruction, the academy offers beginner and advanced classes. I love professor Andell’s teaching style. He makes BJJ really easy to understand. What’s really convenient is that as a busy mom I can watch my kids do their kids classes while I use the gym facility (which by the way is top notch!). The gym also has heavy kickboxing bags which is something both beginners and advanced kick-boxers will find useful. I also love the way the kids classes are structured, the coaches are trained not only in BJJ but also know HOW to talk to kids of all age levels. I love how the kids classes are structured, the organization of each class is well thought out. The coaches go above and beyond and you can tell that they put a lot of care and attention into their role as coaches.

This gym is so nice! Definitely an aesthetic upgrade from the Varsity location with the same high quality of instruction. Professor Andell is a great instructor. I also enjoy having the flexibility to train at both locations, and I appreciate that the advanced class is at an earlier time.

The Nolan Hill location is a great expansion to the Affinity Team. The new gym has plenty of mat space, heavy bags and gym equipment, building on the success of the Dalhousie location. The instructors are welcoming and provide top notch instruction and are always open to questions. A great group of varied students with good attitudes round of a fantastic place to train for all levels. Best part is the ability to train at both locations with a variety of schedules to meet all demands.
