Mu Lan Taiwanese Restaurant (Waltham)
It is a wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious and the quantity for the price was great too. The ambience was lovely and the service was excellent. We ordered the crispy chicken with chilli, spicy mu lan fish, and diced chicken with spicy sauce. All the dishes were simply amazing. We also ordered vegetable fried rice and some steamed rice on the side and it was good. A this for 5 people was more than enough. They also gave complimentary tea and I loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have gotten take-outs from Mu Lan many times. This was my first time dining in. Granted it was a busy Sunday lunchtime and the staff could use more help, but that wasn’t an excuse for a lack of attention: waving at our server several times to get his attention, get him to nod, then for him to skip past us completely.What’s even more ridiculous was when my husband decided to give a low tip. The server ran out of the restaurant to “ask” my husband whether there’s been a “mistake” on the low tip. The defiant hubby simply replied, “This is not a mistake. I’m not happy with the service.”Needless to say we will not be retuning.

Was alright, the beef cilantro stir fry was amazing, but the west lake minced beef soup, potato stir fry were watered down/would've preferred more flavorful over massive volume. Diced chicken was oddly sweet, for almost $100 with tip I'll stick with 1-2 dishes in the future

We had a party of 30 people, we called a few days ahead but the party room was booked, but to our wonderful surprise, they hooked us up and got us the room. The eggplant with basil is to die for, literally ordered it twice. The food was so good we ordered 2 of basically everything. Good wasn’t spicy at all and everyone had a great time. Plenty of parking in the back.

I am obsessed with this place! Everything we've tried has been delicious, and the portions are generous. A lot of places are stingy on takeout or everything leaks on the way home, not at Mu Lan. Everything is carefully packaged, and the portions equal what you get in the restaurant. My favorites are the crispy chicken, Mongolian beef, stir fried spinach w/ garlic (not pictured), and the string beans. Other highlights are the tofu, duck, and eggplant. Do not hesitate - come here in person or for takeout, you're going to love it!

Delicious, freshly prepared dishes and prompt service. We loved the pork shin in brown sauce, the spicy crispy chicken, and the smoked duck were real standouts. We’ll be back!

1. Today's dish was the L17 Diced Chicken with Hot Sauce (9.95). This is another favorite of mine. See any hot sauce? Me neither, but lots of tasty jalapenos that aren't very spicy. Plenty of dark meat chicken. The pickled cabbage is back, but not the peanuts. It was an excellent chopstick exercise to chase the peanuts around.2. General Tso's Chicken (12.95). I would never have ordered this here if it wasn't for doing the write-up. I would have missed something. To start with, the serving is ginormous! This is a regular serving platter. They did everything right. Dark meat just crisped up, extra spicy, and plenty of sauce. However, it was too much batter inside. Extra spicy gave me some delicious jalapenos.

Efficient service, huge portions for the price, a little bland but fixable. Great bang for your buck.We got the hot and sour soup, vegetarian leek pie, spicy bean curd, and chicken and broccoli. The soup was a great value, tons of woodear mushrooms, tofu, and bamboo shoots. The portion came with a ladle and all three of us were able to get almost three servings. As a garlic lover the leek pie was tasty and unique. The main entrees were a little bland but after adding chili oil were satisfying. Very efficient service. Total bill was around $50 and we all three walked away with at least one left over meal. Not in a rush to go back but I would if a friend wanted to check it out!
