Restaurant Le Speakeasy
Dayuuuum! Discovered this place thanks to Mtl A Table and so happy I did! Everything about this place is great! Each course was more delicious than the next -get the braised short ribs with korean bbq sauce...that sauce though!! Oh my god that sauce!- not to mention the service was really fantastic! Added bonus- the chef made one plate too many of an entree and they offered it to us on the house (ummm yes please! *points to mouth- food goes in here!) So in conclusion food GOOD, ambiance GOOD, service GOOD...just go!!

Food was delicious, worth the wait, slowest service ever, but they made it up to us and gave us a free drink. Overall a beautiful restaurant, and a great experience i would totally come back.

This place is seriously great. The cocktails are creative and so consistently well prepared! I recommend the Kon Tiki and the Infamous J. D. For food, Le Plateau découverte du Vandale has a great combination of favours... perfect for sharing.

Friendly staff and very cool interior design. The walls were all murals! At the time I visited, they had 5 house drinks that all were an experience. I’ve never seen so much (positive) drama and a drink that could stimulate each of the 5 senses! Couldn’t stay for dinner but wish I could have.

I'd been here once before, two years ago, and had loved the place, so I recently took friends visiting Montreal. To my surprise, the place has completely changed, and not for the better. Gone is the cozy old library/gentleman's club vibe, and replaced with just another industrial open air grafittied modern space, without any flair or character.Food wise, most items are small and overpriced.The service was attentive, I'll give them that. However, it was mostly empty, on a Friday night, so that is a little suspicious. We probably should have taken that as a sign upon walking in!Overall, you're better going elsewhere

We found this place by going to the ice cream shop attached. Amazing experience! The staff is very attentive. The food and cocktails are phenomenal. The menus are in various books. It has an old-times vibe. We got the cheese plate which had three different cheeses. It is a large appetizer and had a good variety of hard and soft cheese. We would definitely come back to this place!

Mateo was the absolute best. He was so personable and amazing. We loved sitting at the bar with him. Would come back to Canada just for him. We love him so so much. Go to the speakeasy and hang with him it’s worth it

4.5 stars for customer service,our waiter did a good job. 3 stars for food. The marrow leaked grease all over the table and all over my pants( should have come on a plate and not a cutting board). Mahi mahi in banana leaf,what an amazing idea...was good but not enough flavour(except the ginger flavour). For my taste,it need it something sweet( peanut sauce/maple syrup sauce,sweet garlic sauce). The duck was chewy(raw duck always is). We had well cooked duck before and was melting in your mouth. We asked for the duck to be cooked well and the waiter pushed the recommendation to be cooked rare so my husband got some chewy rare cooked duck.

Amazing experience! The staff was welcoming, friendly, very attentive to our every needs and helpful. They know their menu and offer great advice. Overall a very good place to eat in the old port (lovely area of Montreal). As for the prices, you definitely get what you pay for in my opinion (the tomahawk was very tasty and great to split with friends).
