If I could leave zero stars I would ... Linda the owner gave me a price over the phone as we had to extend the contract due to my daughter being ill ... when I returned the vehicle Linda a had new employee Kyle who did not know anything about the file, their were notes hand written on paper attached to my paperwork, the amount they wanted was more than what Linda quoted me...please keep in mind this vehicle was sitting for a week as my daughter was in hospital took a seizure on our way to the return the rental, called the store during business hours no one answered I left a message stating what had happened and if they could pick the vehicle up, they return my call until three days later. I against my better judgement made a deal over the phone on Friday as we were returning home from hospital and could personally return it on the Saturday, the deal with Linda was for $636.00, having had $500 of my money I paid $140 in cash ... the vehicle was checked, no issues, very few kms used, employee called Linda about the dispute in fees, they had a discussion, he took my cash and was trying to print the paperwork, being new he was struggling as time was getting on and I had a sick daughter I left without a copy. A couple of days later, Linda called me yelling on my voicemail that I screwed her for $62.64, so she charge my credit card for this amount against me stating that was not agreed upon price and that I owed her that money, I called her back and stated that $636.00 was the quoted amount, I left $140 cash, that they accepted the money and everything was fine when I left other than I could not get a copy of my receipt because of the new employee not knowing what he was doing, I didn't want to make a big deal about it at the time because his wife and young daughter were in the office. I have now disputed this with my card,, renters beware, AVIS will not take any responsibility for this store or entertain any complaints. Police have been notified of her activities and I will be proceeding to the fullest, a manner of principle!!! See you in Court Linda.UPDATE: My credit card reviewed my complaint and after several days, reversed the transaction...the owner has called me twice leaving threatening messages that she is calling the police on me for fraud, when I call her back she screams at me won't let me talk and/or hangs up, completely unprofessional, how does she expect to resolve anything with this approach...reality is Linda, people don't put up with your type of business tactics anymore.

Not part of the Avis chain. This is a scam of a company. They don’t follow regular Avis policies. I have been renting from Avis for decades and this is the first time I have encountered hidden fees and charges. When you book on the Avis website, expect your cost to go up at the location. I had reserved 6 months in advance and the lady at this location bumped up the price when I picked up the car. She didn’t honour my booking and said they don’t follow Avis’s policies.

Booked a rental for $50 I was told at the time of picking the car that there are other fees, even if you have other protection like CAA. I asked around, and other companies said you can't do that and it may even be illegal to force you to buy their insurance.when asking the woman working about it, she yelled the whole time, no matter the tone, probably should have been obvious with that and their lack of masks that something was up.They also don't tell you there are limited miles for your rental. Pretty scummy to drop these money grabs when its too late for you to book with a different service, after booking far in advance.They also do a $500 Credit card authorization, which is more normal but just as an FYI if anyone still wants to go here for a rental.

Staff have the worst attitude problem (if you hate your job, leave) and there are so many hidden fees. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. They make you pay for their insurance because they do not have collision on their vehicles, plus they make you pay a $200 deposit on your credit card. Plus they confirm your reservation, you show up, and they have no cars. Such a waste of time and energy, rent from somewhere else.

Good location with amazing owner and staff. Always helpful and good selection of cars. One thing to note - they do not accept Avis corporate discounts as franchise operator.

Called to rent a car through my insurance. I was told they could not accommodate the negotiated price from the insurance and was told to call Budget Rental. I did and was accommodated no problem. So just call Budget if you’re looking for a rental.

Beware the company avis, POTENTIALLY SCAMMING CUSTOMERS.we were charged a CRAZY $$3141.22 DEPOSIT" to rent a vehicle instead of the standard 3-500$. What if they do this to someone else and leave them no money to eat!!When trying to call avis support we are met with nothing but transfers

Please don't count on Avis to help you. I reserved an SUV with 5 days notice. It was needed to fit my aunts, their luggage and a wheel chair when picking them up at the airport.
